Le Bleu by K Club Review: A Premium Beachside Restaurant

Le Blue by KClub is a luxury beachfront restaurant in the upmarket Nusa Dua area of Bali. The parent brand may include the word “club” but we didn’t feel that this was a traditional beach club experience.

That doesn’t mean that Le Bleu isn’t good at what it does, just that it’s not a beach club and that means it’s, by design, going to get fewer points in certain areas of our reviews than a beach club would.

Our team went out to review Le Bleu recently and this is what they learned at this restaurant by the sea.

Introduction – Getting To Le Bleu by K Club

Le Bleu is in the ITDC Area of Nusa Dua which is where many of the major brand operators in the area are based.

It’s relatively easy to get to by Grab or Gojek from any part of the island and you should be able to get a Grab or Gojek home at the end of the night easily enough too.

If you do bring your own transportation, there’s a large car park at Le Bleu where you can easily find space for your vehicle. Parking is free.

It’s a short walk from the car park to Le Bleu itself and it shouldn’t take very long to make your way inside and get seated.

What’s Inside Le Bleu by K Club?

Le Bleu is very much a beachfront restaurant and bar setup. That means there’s no pool facilities and if you want to swim in the ocean, you can, but you’ll need to bring your own towel and change of clothes. There are no shower facilities at K Club, either.

Our Review Breakdown For Le Bleu by K Club

As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, we grade beach clubs, and in the interests of fairness to every beach club that means we use the same criteria to grade every establishment that we review.

Our team visits a place, ranks it from 1 (worst) to 5 (best) against a series of criteria (as listed below) and then returns to the office to vote on the final score.

One member of the team then prepares the write up and incorporates the feedback from all of our team members into that piece.

Pre-Club Advertising

While the K-Club brand is a very well-known brand in Singapore, it’s not as famous here in Bali and while we were vaguely aware of Le Bleu, there was no appreciable effort by the place to catch our attention online or offline.

We would note that we like places to advertise because it helps them to fill up, be busy and embodies them with some atmosphere.

On our visits to Le Bleu, the place was never empty but nor was it as busy as it could and, perhaps, should be.

Location

Nusa Dua is a good location if you’re staying in Nusa Dua. Otherwise, this part of the Bukit Peninsula can take a lot of time to drive back and forth from other parts of the island.

Having said that, once you reach Nusa Dua, it’s on the beach which is one of Bali’s nicest stretches of golden sand and there’s plenty of other businesses nearby that you could visit to extend your stay in Nusa Dua.

One thing you should know about this location is that it’s on the wrong side of the island for amazing sunsets and this business doesn’t open early enough for you to enjoy amazing sunrises.

Booking Process & Seating Options

You can book a seat online, but for a big name brand like K-Club we’d expect much better than a very basic booking system and sadly, we didn’t get it.

The booking form requires you to hand over your name, email address, phone number, date, time and the number of people you want to bring.

It doesn’t make any promises, however, that you will get a reservation and you have to wait on their reservations team to contact you to find out if you got in.

When we booked, they came back pretty quickly, but that’s not the point – this is 2025 and booking systems like this one belong in 1995.

Rating:

Entry Fee

There is no entrance fee of any kind at Le Bleu and that represents what we feel is best practice in the industry.

There’s no reason anyone should have to pay a fee to walk in the door of a place and take a seat at the bar or in a restaurant.

Rating:

Minimum Spend

There is no minimum spend requirement either, and while that’s sort of a good thing in that you’re not committing to spend a certain amount of money in the establishment until you’ve got a feel for the lay of the land.

It also means that your reservation won’t hold very long and if you’re late (and who, with Bali’s haphazard traffic jams, isn’t late some of the time?), that they will give your seat to someone else and then you have no guarantee that you will be able to sit at all.

This is fine if you’re only coming from a resort in Nusa Dua, but if you’ve travelled from Canggu, it’s going to irk you, a lot.

Rating:

Welcome And Security

The welcome is very professional and friendly but there is no security team on the door conducting bag checks.

While we understand that a restaurant might prefer not to do this, we like security checks, they help to ensure that everyone in a place is kept safe and sound.

Rating:

Inclusions

With no minimum spend and no entrance fee, it won’t come as a huge surprise to learn that nothing is included and you’ll pay for everything that you use.

As we noted earlier, they also don’t offer guests towels or shower facilities, so if you want to hit the ocean, you can – but you need to be able to dry off and understand that a shower will have to wait.

Rating:

Service

The service, however, is absolutely impeccable it’s among the absolute best on the island and the staff will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome.

They know the menu very well and will be very happy to make recommendations or to have a menu item adjusted to suit your dietary requirements.

Le Bleu can be very proud of the wait staff, they’re all about going the extra mile.

Rating:

Entertainment

There is no entertainment except for some background music and to be fair, it’s a beachside restaurant, we didn’t really expect anything more.

The place has a pleasant atmosphere but you’re meant to pay attention to the food and drinks, rather than performances.

Rating:

Pool Quality

As there is no pool, it’s impossible for us to give Le Bleu a good rating for pool quality. There is the Indian Ocean very nearby, but it’s not ideal for swimming in, particularly when the restaurant has no towels or showers.

Rating:

Menu/Drinks Pricing

It’s fair to say that the food at Le Bleu is on the expensive side of things even for a beachfront restaurant in Nusa Dua.

With starters running at 200,000 IDR++ (that means you pay 10% tax and 10% service charge on top) or more and main courses at potentially 2-3 times that, this is not going to make for a cheap day out. Drinks are also on the pricey side.

Rating:

Food And Drink Quality

Sometimes, you do get what you pay for though and there’s no doubt that the food and drinks at Le Bleu are world-class.

Not only do they look awesome in Instagram pictures, but they taste every bit as good as they look. The prices mean that this is definitely the sort of place that we’d only come to on a special occasion but we’d be glad that we did thanks to the quality of things.

Rating:

Sunset View

As mentioned earlier, this side of the island doesn’t get sunset views, it gets sunrise views and Le Bleu isn’t open for breakfast.

Rating:

Music And Ambiance

They do have music playing inside Le Bleu and we found it to be a pleasant backdrop for our meal but it wasn’t anything to write home about, either.

Rating:

Payment Options

They take pretty much everything at Le Bleu though we didn’t see any signs for QRIS, we’re not sure that they’re going to get many customers who pay by QR in this place, either.

Rating:

Exit Process

It’s very easy to get out of Le Bleu it’s a decent sized restaurant but you’re not going to get lost on the way back to the car park.

Rating:

Transportation

Nusa Dua is pretty good for transportation. You may have to wait a little longer during the rush hour than you would in Canggu or Seminyak, but it won’t be a lot longer.

We’d book your Grab or Gojek before you leave and then you should be able to time your exit with the arrival of your car.

Rating:

Social Media Presence

They have a social media presence and it is updated regularly but while there’s no questioning the skills of their photographers, we felt that their accounts were very corporate and insincere.

Nothing about them felt like an effort to bond with the audience at all. We like a bit of style, but this felt like upmarket stock photography even though it does capture real images of the restaurant.

Rating:

Other/General Comments

We enjoyed our time at Le Bleu and we’d certainly go back again if we were in Nusa Dua with large amounts of cash burning a hole in our pockets and something to celebrate.

However, there’s no doubt that this isn’t a beach club and it’s not somewhere you go for a full day out – it’s dinner, drinks and home.

Our Overall Opinion Of Le Bleu by K Club

The final score doesn’t give the whole story of what is a very pleasant beachfront restaurant but definitely not a beach club.

It’s for big spenders looking for a great meal by the sea and if that’s you, you’ll probably have a great time at Le Bleu.
