FAQs

Can You Walk Into Potato Head Bali?

Yes, you can walk into Potato Head Bali with two provisos:

  1. They have space available inside. Potato Head is one of the most popular beach clubs in Bali and at busy times, they can be full. It’s in the interests of the health and safety of visitors to turn away guests when the space is full. You may be allowed to join a queue outside of the venue in this event.
  2. You agree to pay the entrance fee when it’s being levied. Potato Head charges an entrance fee if you arrive at the beach club during the early evening leading up to the sunset. This fee gets you a drink inside the club but it must be paid before you can be admitted to the beach club.

What Time Should I Go To Potato Head?

Potato Head has a fairly consistent chill out vibe all day long and thus, it probably doesn’t matter what time of day that you choose to go to Potato Head.

However, one of the big highlights of any beach club on this coast is the Balinese sunset which is absolutely epic. As the sun dips down below the horizon the sky lights up in an incredible show of colour.

Many people come to Bali just to watch one of these legendary sunsets, so if you can time your visit to Potato Head to include the sunset hour, you should.

Who Owns Potato Head Bali?

Ronald Akili, an Indonesian entrepreneur, is the owner of the Potato Head group which includes the beach club.

He says he was inspired to start the beach club when he found himself surfing through plastic waste and wanted to build a business that didn’t harm the environment in a similar fashion.

Can You Swim At Potato Head Bali?

Yes, you can swim at Potato Head Bali. There is a large beachfront infinity pool at Potato Head which is great for swimming and is mainly kept clean and well-maintained.

However, as Potato Head is a popular beach club there may be times of day when there are so many people in the pool that swimming isn’t entirely practical.

You could, in theory, swim on Seminyak Beach too but given that the currents along this stretch of coastline are unpredictable, it’s safest to stick to the pool.

Do I Bring A Towel To Potato Head?

No. In fact, you may find that they won’t let you bring a towel into Potato Head. Most beach clubs will provide a towel for you to use in their pool and shower facilities. You may need to pay a towel rental fee if you have not committed to a minimum spend seat.

This isn’t done to ensure that you pay for a towel (in fact, towels are expensive and need regular washing and replacing) but in order to ensure a consistent guest experience and to protect the pools and washing areas from fibers that could damage them.

Is FINNS Beach Club Worth It?

Yes, FINNS Beach Club is worth it. If Potato Head is where you go to chill, then FINNS is where you go to party.

It’s the island’s best beach club and the best beach club in the world too. 1 in 6 international visitors to Bali choose to spend part of their holiday at FINNS.

We think FINNS is great value for money too and you’ll find it’s more reasonably priced than some of the lesser beach clubs on the island.
