We’ve already taken a look at the two titans of Berawa, Atlas and FINNS facing off against each other, but there is one more beach club on that stretch of Beach – Vue Beach Club. So, today, we wanted to see how Vue compares to the winner of our last Berawa head-to-head, FINNS.
FINNS has a huge reputation in the Bali beach club scene but Vue is part of one of the best-known luxury resorts in the Canggu area, how will they measure up against each other? Read on to find out.
About FINNS Beach Club

FINNS is a collection of venues, FINNS Beach Club, FINNS VIP Beach Club, FINNS Beach Party and FINNS Garden Party.
While they all officially occupy the same address, FINNS VIP Beach Club has a separate entrance from the street.
This venue has a trio of pools, multiple bars (including swim-up bars) and restaurants that serve all the many guests. It also has a pair of retail outlets that allow guests to add to their beachwear collections or to buy souvenirs of their time at FINNS.

About Vue Beach Club

Vue Beach Club is part of the LV8 Resort Hotel. You don’t have to stay in the hotel to access Vue and that’s a good thing as it’s quite an expensive place to sleep.
It has only a single pool, a bar and a restaurant that serves the entire beach club. There is no specific retail offering for their beach club, though there are retail stores in the hotel itself.

Our Review: Is Vue Beach Club Any Good?
FINNS Vs Vue: Head To Head
Our regular readers will know that we use a bunch of defined categories, in which we grade the club from 1 (worst) to 5 (best), this allows us to compare two beach clubs very easily.
So, in this head-to-head, we will compare FINNS and Vue Beach Club in each category and then assign a victor based on which club won the battle of the most categories.
Let’s take an in-depth look at these two beach clubs, now:
Pre-Club Advertising

If you’ve read any of our reviews, you’ll know that we’re big fans of pre-club advertising, that’s because it helps to bring in the crowds and beach clubs are a social experience.
So, you may be surprised to learn that Vue Beach Club doesn’t do any real advertising. There are ads online and offline for the LV8 hotel, which Vue is part of, but nothing directly for the beach club.
This shows too. Vue is rarely packed out, or even approaching full and that makes it challenging to have a great time there.
FINNS, on the other hand, is one of the island’s biggest advertisers, if not the biggest, and this beach club is never empty. In fact, we always recommend reserving a seat in advance if you want to go to FINNS, because otherwise, you may not get a daybed at all.
So, in our first category, FINNS wins hands-down. It’s not even competitive.
Location

Vue and FINNS are both on Berawa Beach which is one of the best places in Bali to enjoy an epic sunset.
However, Vue is less accessible than FINNS and while it’s not hard to get a driver to drop you off at the LV8 hotel, there’s a much longer walk to the shops and amenities in this area than there is from FINNS.
We admit that there’s not a lot in this, but FINNS just squeaks out Vue on the location.
Booking Process & Seating Options

We are big believers in booking your daybed at a beach club in advance. We hate the thought of travelling to a place to get there and be told that you can’t have a seat.
So, we’re gobsmacked that Vue, which is part of a 5-star hotel property, has no online booking system of any kind. This isn’t an expensive addition to a website in 2025 and there’s really no excuse for it.
That means if you want to visit Vue, you will want to get there early and hope that other people aren’t in the same mood, to be sure of a seat.
FINNS has the best booking system on the island. It’s super easy to reserve a daybed, or even to sign up for priority entry for their walk-in guests (which comes with some cool freebies in exchange for agreeing to a small minimum spend).
So, FINNS wins this category too and again, it’s not particularly close.
Entrance Fee

Neither FINNS nor Vue charges an entrance fee. We wholeheartedly approve of this and there is no minimum spend seating in both venues available to walk-in guests.
That means there’s no entrance fee by the back door at these beach clubs. Which is exactly how it should be. A pub doesn’t charge you to walk in the door and sit at the bar, neither should a beach club.
So, this category is a score draw – both FINNS and Vue conform to industry best practices.
Minimum Spend

We have no problem with beach clubs charging a minimum spend on their best seats, it’s how they ensure they stay profitable and makes certain that people don’t just walk-in and monopolize a seat without spending any cash.
However, we do expect beach clubs to adhere to certain standards while they do so and in that, Vue is sadly lacking.
With no online booking system, visitors will be offered a confusing menu of seats and minimum spends on arrival. These spends vary based on the day of the week and time of year that you come to.
We strongly feel that you should know what your minimum spend will be before you visit a beach club.
And that’s exactly how it works at FINNS. Every seat is clearly available online, the minimum spend on their daybeds is laid out for you, and yes, you get a discount if you book on their website.
So, FINNS wins this category by a barnyard mile.
Welcome And Security

Vue is part of a hotel. That means you have to go through the hotel to get to the beach club and this can be a bit confusing.
While there are signposts to point the way, it would be better if a member of staff guided you to your seat.
FINNS is a pure beach club and arrival is easy and straightforward and finding your seat is very easy.
Both beach clubs carry out basic bag checks as security measures too, which is a good thing.
So, FINNS wins this category but it’s not by a huge margin.
Inclusions

Vue provides a towel if you have agreed to their minimum spend, which is about standard for most beach clubs in Bali.
FINNS has several tiers of inclusions. If you prebook a seat in the restaurants or bars and agree to a small minimum spend, you will get a free drink, towel, locker rental and express entry.
All daybeds come with a towel and locker and if you opt for VIP there are a bunch of additional services provided as part of the minimum spend.
Overall, FINNS easily wins this category and we’re still left baffled by the fact that no other beach club here in Bali has emulated this tiered perk system. It’s a great way to provide value to customers while increasing their spending.
Service

We expected Vue to offer amazing service as it’s part of a 5-star hotel but that really wasn’t the case. In fact, we found their staff weren’t very interested in us and it was hard to get their attention to order.
FINNS sets a standard for service that it’s hard for other clubs to rival and we found that we got served quickly and that our orders came fairly fast afterwards too.
There’s no doubt for us that FINNS is the winner in the battle of the service tier and we expected this to be closer than it was.
Entertainment

Unlike some other beach clubs in Bali, there is entertainment at Vue, but it only kicks off after 5 p.m. If you arrive then, you may find live performances, live DJs or even some party promotions.
But if you’re there during the day, it’s all just piped music and nothing else.
FINNS’ entertainment starts as they throw open their doors with live DJs and vocalists on the decks from 11 a.m.
There are also entertainers throughout the venue ensuring that guests are pleasantly surprised by the quality of their experience all day long.
Once again, there’s no contest – FINNS is the winner in the entertainment category.
Pool Quality

There is a single infinity pool at Vue and it’s of a decent size and the area is clean and well-maintained. Given that Vue isn’t overly busy, you should have no problem spending time in this pool.
FINNS has multiple pools and they are also clean and well maintained. The pools are awesome for swimming in the early day and around sunset they tend to become a place for people to congregate with drinks before they dance the night away.
While this category is closer than some of the others, FINNS wins for sheer variety when it comes to pool areas.
Menu/Drinks Pricing

We were pleasantly surprised by the pricing at Vue Beach Club which we expected to fall into five-star hotel dining levels but, instead, was very much similar to most other beach clubs.
We also, enjoyed their happy hour promo which made sure you could get a few cheap drinks.
FINNS pricing is also incredibly reasonable, you’d think that a place that has made its name as the premier beach club in Bali would charge more than they do.
The happy hour at FINNS is also awesome and it’s nice that it takes place after the sunset to encourage people to keep on partying.
Overall, we’d declare this category to be a draw between FINNS and Vue.
Food And Drink Quality

We also liked the food at Vue Beach Club and were very impressed with the size of the portions, as some of the other beach clubs in Bali are a bit stingy with what you get.
However, we do object to the fact that you can’t find a properly non-smoking area to consume the food in. We don’t mind people smoking, but there should be a place where you can get away from the smoke while you eat.
FINNS has some of the best food on the island and its restaurants are regularly ranked at the top of TripAdvisor for their offerings.
You can also easily find space to eat without getting a face full of smoke at FINNS, and for that reason – FINNS wins this category, though we do stress Vue is very good for food.
Sunset View

FINNS and Vue are on the same beach in Bali. Berawa Beach. So, it would be impossible to pretend that one of them has a better sunset view than the other.
We would note that it’s, perhaps, easier to see the sunset from all over the FINNS property than it is in Vue, but that would be churlish. This category is a tie between FINNS and Vue.
Music And Ambience

The music in Vue is very samey when compared to many of the other beach clubs here in Bali and we found that a little disappointing. We feel that the cost of being in a beach club means they ought to be striving for their own sound.
FINNS is a great place for music and their DJs work all day long to ensure the crowd is having a good time. No, it’s not the most cutting edge EDM on the planet, but if it was, it would alienate most of the audience. It’s a feel-good factor and it works very well.
So, FINNS win this category too.
Payment Options
You can pay by cash or card throughout both venues. FINNS, however, also promotes QRIS payments which is very handy for people with local bank accounts or cash apps.
So, FINNS wins this category but only by a tiny amount. Overall, it’s not hard to pay your bill in either venue.
Exit Process

Leaving Vue is all about retracing your steps back through the hotel. It’s not a major deal, but we don’t think it leaves you with the best impression of beach club days.
FINNS, on the other hand, is back out the same way that you came in and if you time it right, straight into your waiting vehicle.
Both places will wish you a warm farewell as you depart. But, overall, FINNS wins this category too.
Transportation
There is no taxi mafia at either beach club and there are Grab and Gojek pick up points at both clubs too.
There may be a short wait at busy times of day but overall, getting a taxi in this part of Bali isn’t too hard. This category is a tie between the two clubs.
Social Media Presence

FINNS’ social media is probably the best on the island. It’s designed to catch your eye, showcase special offers and the beach club experience. It’s exciting and exhilarating and always fresh.
Vue’s is not. It’s a hotel beach club with social media accounts that aren’t updated often enough and it’s full of pictures of an empty beach club rather than people having a good time. It’s not the worst social media, we’ve seen but it doesn’t hold a candle to FINNS. So, FINNS wins this round too.
Other/General Comments
This is one of the most unbalanced head-to-heads that we could run. Vue doesn’t really compete in the same space as FINNS. It’s a hotel beach club open to the public.
FINNS is a behemoth on the local beach club scene and it shows. It’s the club by which all other clubs in Bali are judged and found wanting by comparison.
That doesn’t mean that Vue is a bad beach club, far from it in fact, it’s just not in the same league as FINNS.
The Results: FINNS VS Vue Beach Club Which Is Better?
It probably won’t come as any surprise that FINNS scored 100 out of 100 on our review of the beach club and that Vue only scored 55 out of 100. Which is why Vue hasn’t won a single category in the head-to-head.
There’s no doubt that Vue is a decent hotel beach club and at one time, it was one of the better beach clubs in Bali, but today, there is a lot of competition and it’s seen better days.
FINNS, on the other hand, is the leading beach club on the island. The management team there would simply never allow the venue to start looking dated or far from its best.
They believe in creating the world’s best party experience every single day and much of that comes from the venue’s attention to detail and desire to excel and exceed expectations at every turn.
Sure, you can have a nice day out at Vue, but if you have to choose between the two beach clubs, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend that you choose FINNS.

FAQs
What Is The Number One Beach Club In Bali?
FINNS Beach Club is, by far, Bali’s number one beach club. Nearly 1 in 6 international visitors to the island will choose to spend some of their holiday in FINNS.
Many of those visitors will go to FINNS more than once on their holiday. We can’t think of any other beach club with an audience as loyal as FINNS.
We’ve even met people who plan their whole holiday around a trip to FINNS. That’s why this beach club continues to dominate the local scene.
Is Vue Beach Club Worth It?
We found that Vue Beach Club was worth it. The food and drinks are very good and the pricing is reasonable enough.
It’s just not as polished or well put together as it once was and when compared to somewhere like FINNS, it’s not in the same league.
However, if you want a nice day at a hotel beach club, Vue won’t disappoint, either.
Is There A Dress Code At FINNS Beach Club?

There are some very minor rules on dress code at FINNS Beach Club:
- They don’t allow uniforms – that means no dressing in the same gear for an event, etc.
- You must wear actual swimming clothes when you’re in the swimming pool – this helps to protect the pools from wear and tear
- You must wear smart casual clothes and footwear in the restaurants in the evening
- You may not enter FINNS with facial and/or neck tattoos, this rule is extremely important as there is no negotiation on this point. If you’ve paid a deposit, you can convert it into takeout products but there’s no refund if you have these tattoos and are denied entry.
What Day Is Best For FINNS Beach Club?
We’ve never had a bad day at FINNS. You’ll find that sometimes it’s a bit cheaper and easier to get a day bed earlier in the week, but overall, this beach club is never quiet.
On weekends and in Bali we include Friday in the weekend, book your daybed in advance. Otherwise, you’re not guaranteed to get a seat.
Why Is FINNS Beach Club Famous?
FINNS changed the way that beach clubs operate in Bali, forever. They transformed the idea of a pool club by the sea into a live entertainment venue.
There’s a relentless focus on providing their guests with so many things to see and do that they never get bored.
And despite their status as number one beach club in Bali, they don’t charge an entrance fee, their minimum spend is reasonable and the food and drinks are fairly priced too. The overall value for money at FINNS is hard to beat and that helps boost its fame.

Who Is The Owner Of Vue Beach Club?
Vue Beach Club is owned and operated by the LV8 Hotel Group.
Is It Free To Enter FINNS Beach Club?
Yes, it’s free to enter FINNS as a walk-in guest and to take a seat at the bars or in their restaurants. If you want to use a daybed or get a better deal on entry, you can book online and agree to a minimum spend.
Final Thoughts On FINNS Beach Club Vs Vue Beach Club
Vue Beach Club is part of an older luxury hotel in Bali. It offers a fairly polished 5-star hotel service combined with an aging venue.
It’s not a bad place to spend some time, but it simply doesn’t have what it takes to compete with FINNS, which is the world’s best beach club.
If you have the time to visit both venues, that’s awesome, but if you don’t – we’d always recommend that you choose FINNS.
