Just as we thought our beach club review project was drawing to a close, someone noticed that we’d missed a new addition to the Canggu beach club scene, the Beach House at Regent Bali.
With no further encouragement required, the gang was keen to get back together and head out to this upmarket spot on the ocean for a few drinks and some tasty food.
So, they all went to visit Beach House at Regent Bali Canggu, and this is what they learned from their experiences at this beach club.
Introduction – Getting To Beach House At Regent Bali
Canggu is one of the easiest parts of Bali to get to, though, as with every part of Bali, you may need to brace yourself for some traffic on the way there and back again, especially if you’re not staying locally.
It’s also one of the most popular areas on the island, so try to time your journeys outside of peak hours if you want to enjoy the benefit of shorter distance travel to the full.
The beach club is on the corner of Echo Beach, a short walk from COMO Beach Club. So, if you’re planning to hit up that hotel club, you might also want to check out Beach House.
When you arrive at Regent Bali, there’s plenty of parking available, and your Grab or Gojek can drop you off at the door. Your car will need to stop for a brief security check before proceeding to the lobby area.
Then, you’ll be guided by the smiling staff members to the Beach House, where you can kick back on some comfy daybeds.

What’s Inside Beach House At Regent Bali?
There is an attractive oceanfront infinity pool, shaded at points by palm trees, as well as some comfortable seating areas. You can access the hotel food and drinks menus from here, too.
This is not a party-hard style of beach club, and that means no entertainment, or live music, etc.
Our Review Breakdown For Beach House At Regent Bali
We have a strict set of rules for reviewing beach clubs that we’ve adhered to since the very first beach club that we’ve reviewed, and while Beach House at Regent Bali may be the last beach club we review for a while, we will be continuing to use those rules until the end.
They are as follows:
- The whole team must visit a beach club for a review to be considered complete. They do not all need to visit the beach club at the same time, together or even on the same day.
- Each member of the team must complete an assessment of the beach club while they are there. This includes grading the beach club from 1 (worst) to 5 (best) in the categories set out below and making notes on their experiences.
- Once the team have all visited the beach club, they are to meet up and discuss their experience. They will also vote on the final grade in each category.
- Then, one member of the team is assigned to review the place in full. They must take into account the discussions and use the final agreed-upon grades for the categories.
- Finally, the review is published on our site. Then, it remains in place for at least one year before we revisit the club and change our comments and scores as needed.
This process ensures that we treat every beach cub fairly and that we provide reviews that are solidly consistent to allow our readers to compare them on a like-for-like basis.
Pre-Club Advertising
That we came to this beach club last out of the over 100 beach clubs we visited for this site, this year, should tell you that their pre-club advertising is somewhat lacking.
Now, there is an argument to be made that, as a hotel beach club that admits outside guests, they don’t really need to fill this place up.
But we think that’s a bad argument; the point of beach clubs is to provide a social area to bond with other people while you’re on holiday.
That’s why pre-club advertising is important even for hotel beach clubs and why Beach House isn’t picking up any points here.

Location
Canggu is probably the best place to be in Bali right at this moment. It’s got the most going on. There are still rice fields and glimpses of traditional Bali still present, unlike in Seminyak or Kuta, where they are long gone.
It’s certainly the most popular place in Bali with visitors as we move through 2025, and the beach clubs, restaurants, bars, warungs, shops, etc., are always teeming with people.
One lovely thing about being at a beach club in Canggu is that you’re perfectly positioned for one of those amazing, dramatic Bali sunsets as the sun starts to sink below the horizon.
And this club is right near Echo Beach, which affords plenty of other places to eat, drink, and shop once you’re done with Beach House. We should also note that Regent Bali Canggu is a beautiful hotel and will look great in your Instagram feed.
Booking Process & Seating Options
It’s 2025, and we’re simply lost as to why you can’t book a seat at a hotel beach club on the hotel’s website. But incredibly, you can’t.
Instead, you have to go to their tablecheck.com page, where you can tell them how many people are coming and at what time and date.
After that, you learn what seats are available and what their associated minimum spend is. But you’re not forced to select any kind of seat; the venue will let you make this up on the day. Assuming the seats you want aren’t already allocated by then.
Then, after you’ve booked, the hotel contacts you to arrange for the full prepayment of your minimum spend.
It’s not the worst process we’ve come across, but it’s very far from the best, too. When you want the best part of $200 USD to sit in a cabana for a day, the least you could do is make the booking process as easy as humanly possible.

Entry Fee
There is no entrance fee at Beach House in Regent Bali Canggu, and for that, we believe this beach club should be congratulated.
This is the best practice, and yes, there are seats available in the dining area with no minimum spend, so you won’t need to pay a minimum spend by the back doo,r as at some other beach clubs.
Overall, we’ve always been at a loss why anyone should pay a beach club to walk inside, have a look around and decide if the vibe is right for them (or not).
So, this is good work from Beach House.
Minimum Spend
Yes, there is a minimum spend for seating at Beach House, with the exception of the dining area. If you want one of the swanky cabanas by the pool, it’s 3,000,000 IDR ++ (that’s tax and service charge on top of that sum) and that seats up to 3 guests.
For the other seating areas, it’s 1,000,000 – 500,000 IDR++ per guest or per table. We think that this is a fairly reasonable expectation, and as regular readers will know, we believe that a minimum spend is a good thing.
It gives the beach club an incentive to hold your table rather than give it away, and it ensures that the beach club earns enough money on its premium seating to make it worth opening its doors in the first place.

Welcome And Security
This is a world-class five-star hotel establishment, and that means the kind of welcome that the best of the best in Bali receive. It’s a place that is going to leave you feeling special just for walking through the door.
However, despite that, there are no bag checks on the way into the Beach House, and that’s a downside in our books.
Sure, there are car checks when you arrive at the hotel, but we are firm believers that if you want to stay safe, bag checks are essential.
No, we don’t think that Beach House is at any particular risk of an incident, but we do believe that bag checks help reduce the odds of incidents everywhere in Bali.
Inclusions
You will be allowed to use a towel and the changing facilities and shower facilities at Beach House as long as you have agreed to a seat with a minimum spend.
This is fair given that the only seating without a minimum spend associated with it is in the dining area, where you probably don’t want people wandering around dripping with water.
However, as with many other beach clubs, we feel they’re missing a trick without offering some sort of upgraded VIP inclusion service for an additional fee.

Service
This is a 5-star hotel facility, and with that comes an expectation of first-rate service and given how expensive the rooms are here, we’d have been very disappointed if they hadn’t delivered.
Fortunately, Beach House has excellent staff, and they are kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and hardworking. We were impressed with their efficiency and excellence all around.
Entertainment
This is not a place for parties, and there simply is no entertainment on offer. We don’t have any issues with that.
This is a beach club where holidaymakers spend a day lounging by the pool with a book, on a daybed and enjoying the occasional cocktail. And who can blame them?

Pool Quality
The pool area at this beach club is very nice, and we liked that the front of the pool is lined with palm trees to offer some nice shade for people there.
It’s not the biggest pool ever, but it is more than big enough for the number of people inside this beach club, and it’s clean and well-maintained.
We’d be very happy to swim in this pool if we were staying at the hotel (which has 8 other pools to offer its guests!) or as guests of the beach club.
Menu/Drinks Pricing
Unfortunately, this is the one area where Beach House is somewhat disappointing. We get that it’s a 5-star resort, but the prices on the menu here are close to scandalous.
They’re much higher than at the other beach clubs here in Canggu that includes at nearby COMO, which is also a 5-star hotel beach club.
We’re just not sure why these numbers make sense to the management team here, and they certainly put a damper on what was otherwise a great day.

Food And Drink Quality
The food and drinks are excellent quality, mind you, though at these prices, we’d have sent them back if they weren’t.
There’s no doubt that the dishes use first-rate fresh local ingredients wherever possible and that the portions are delicious and generous.
The drinks are well-mixed, beautifully presented and more than strong enough. It’s still not quite enough to justify the prices, but it does come close.
Sunset View
This is the best part of Bali for a sunset view, and there’s no doubt that a highlight of visiting this island is watching the sun set over the ocean horizon.
The light show is spectacular, and the vibe is first-rate. Grab a cocktail, jump in the infinity pool and enjoy the world turning for a bit.

Music And Ambience
The music at this beach club is piped in, and it serves adequately as inoffensive background music. To be fair, we don’t expect much more at hotel beach clubs – they’re never party zones.
Payment Options
You can pay by cash or card throughout the venue, and that’s as we’d expect in a 5-star facility. Sadly, we didn’t see any signs advertising QRIS payments, which is a shame because, as expats, that’s our favourite way to pay, and we know it’s popular with the locals too.

Exit Process
This isn’t the biggest facility in the world, and you can easily follow your way back to where you started. If you should get lost along the way, the hotel staff will be very happy to help you work things out.
As you leave, you will be given a warm farewell by the staff here as you’d expect from a professional and polished operation like this one.
Transportation
One of the great joys of being in Canggu is that you’re rarely far from a Grab or Gojek driver, and yes, they can pick you up at the front door, which means you don’t need to deal with any taxi mafia in this part of the island.
If you parked at the hotel, then you can pick up your vehicle easily and get underway without any hitches.
The traffic is always an issue in Bali, but it’s no worse in Canggu than anywhere else.

Social Media Presence
Sure, this place is pretty new, but we’re not big fans of social media that looks like a corporate brochure.
It’s hard to get a feel for a place when most of the shots are in an empty beach club, and that’s a shame because this place is very attractive and done right; their Instagram could rock.
Other/General Comments
Unfortunately, what ought to be an overwhelming win for this place as a very good hotel beach club is marred by the pricing scheme.
We don’t mind paying a premium, but we can’t find anything at Beach House at Regent Bali that justifies such a substantial premium.
Normally, a place that gets a score this good would be straight to the top of our “must visit lists” but at these prices, we can’t quite get there, and that’s a real shame.
Our Overall Opinion Of Beach House At Regent Bali
We enjoyed Beach House at Regent Bali Canggu and would certainly go back if somebody else were paying.
Otherwise, we’d suggest that outside guests can find better places to go in Canggu for less money. If you’re staying at The Regent Bali Canggu, then you will be delighted by this beach club facility.
Overall, we’re glad we went, but we simply can’t afford to go rushing back and we can’t justify that price tag for what it is.

FAQs
Can You Swim At Beach House At Regent Bali?
Yes, there’s a pleasant infinity pool at Regent Bali, which is available to every guest of Beach House. The pool is large enough to accommodate the number of guests that can be safely allowed into this beach club.
The area is kept clean and is very well maintained, as we’d expect from a premium hotel like Regent Bali Canggu.
We would also note that while there is direct access to the beach from here, it’s not recommended that you swim in the ocean at Echo Beach.
There are no lifeguards on duty, and the currents can be unpredictable and downright violent at times; even strong swimmers have been dragged out to sea and drowned on this beach.
So, stick to the beautiful infinity pool; after all, you’re paying handsomely for the privilege of doing so at Beach House.
What Can You Do At Beach House At Regent Bali?
This is a very standard (if upmarket) hotel beach club, and you’ll be able to swim or chill in the infinity pool with a lovely ocean view.
You can also lounge on their day beds or in their other seating areas and enjoy food and drinks from the menu.
This isn’t a party venue, and as such, there’s no dance floor or any other kind of entertainment area to enjoy.
Is Beach House At Regent Bali A Family-Friendly Venue?
Yes, in fact, the whole of the Regent Bali is very much family-friendly with a kids’ play zone and multiple pools.
However, most of these facilities are only available to in-house guests and not to clients of the beach club.
The beach club itself has no special facilities for children, and visitors are expected to take responsibility for the health and safety of their kids as they play and to ensure that kids don’t irritate other paying guests as they play.
We should also stress that if your kids play on the beach, there is no lifeguard on duty on any of Bali’s beaches, and it’s very important that you keep a close eye on them, as the current in this part of the island is no joking matter.
Who Owns Beach House At Regent Bali?
Beach House is part of the Regent Bali Canggu hotel, which, in turn, is part of the IGH hotels group, which is one of the largest groups of hotels on the island.
Final Thoughts On Beach House At Regent Bali
There is no doubt that Beach House at Regent Bali is a nice place, and if we were staying in the hotel, we’d be very pleased with this facility.
However, as a place for walk-in guests, it’s not quite as good. The price tags on everything here are far higher than the norm for Canggu and even exceed the majority of beach clubs in places like Ungasan, which are famous for charging an excessive premium.
While there’s certainly an argument for spending a day in the pool here, you’re a five-minute walk from COMO, which is another 5-star hotel beach club, and it’s substantially better value for money.
You could also opt for the party vibe of FINNS, which is a short drive away, and have the best day out of your life instead.
So, while we’re not sorry to have visited Beach House, we liked it a lot, would we hurry back? No, definitely not.
