The doors open at 11 a.m. and everything builds from there to ensure you have a wild night. You enjoy the pool, the sunset, the live music and then dance the night away by the pool or in one of their amazing party restaurants.
We will often spend Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night at FINNS Beach Club when we’ve got a weekend to party. It’s the best nightlife spot on the island, not just in Canggu.

2. Cafe Del Mar: A Beach Club With A Relaxed Vibe
Cafe Del Mar Bali is not in the same league as FINNS, and we wouldn’t choose it for a big night, but if you want to spend some time by the pool with some beers in hand and don’t need beach access, it’s as good a spot as any.
The beach club does play the iconic chill-out tunes that the Ibizan club is famous for, and has regular live DJs too. So, if you feel like some cocktails and FINNS is already booked out, you might head here for you pre-late night session.

3. Old Man’s : Not Quite A Beach Club But Amazing Happy Hours
Old Man’s isn’t really a beach club as it lacks a swimming pool. But who cares when Old Man’s has a great value happy hour that allows you to drink like a wee fish before the big night out?
Most nights, you’ll find that Old Man’s is full of a young crowd downing cheap beers and cocktails and having a full-on party.
We think that it’s the ideal place for a warm-up before you hit the town and enjoy some of the other bars and clubs.

4. The Lawn: A Hefty Minimum Spend But A Welcoming Atmosphere
We have to warn you that we thought the cocktails were a touch on the weak side at The Lawn, but if you fancy a party on the beach with some cold drinks, then there are worse spots on the island.
Just be warned that because this beach club is pretty small, it gets very packed, and you certainly can’t rock up late in the night and expect to find a seat.
We found ourselves forced to stand at the bar for a very long period of time last time that we went, in fact and we went in the middle of the afternoon.

5. Favela Chic: A Go-To Spot For Warm-Up Drinks
Favela Chic is not remotely a beach club by our definition, but it does bill itself as one, and if you fancy a few beers with friends on a Monday night or a warm-up session with no minimum spend, then you may well enjoy hitting up this beach bar.
Think a bucket of Bintang on a bean bag as you watch the sunset, and you’ll be about right. Your mates will probably appreciate an evening that’s light on the wallet.

1. Friends Bar: A Bali Nightlife Staple Especially After The Beach Clubs Are Closed
Friends Bar is one of our very favourite bars on the island. It’s come a long way in the last year or so, and if you’re looking for somewhere for stylish seating, cold drinks and great company, it’s the place to be.
It’s particularly popular with the post-beach club crowd, but there’s no need to leave things to the late night before heading to Friends Bar; it’s open from the evening onwards, and in our experience, it’s always a good time.
If you want to party, they’ll stay open as late as needed to serve drinks and ensure that you leave with the perfect memories of Canggu nightlife. And make sure to check out their new food menu, it’s delicious.

2. Black Sand Brewery: The Ultimate In Craft Beer
Black Sand is one of a few microbreweries in Bali, and it has its own bar as its retail outlet, not too far from Batu Bolong Beach.
If you’re in the mood for craft beers, and conversation, and perhaps some beer pong, then Black Sand is an excellent choice for a night out.
It has a very different vibe from many of the other party venues on the island, so if you feel like you’ve had enough EDM, this could be the spot for you.

3. Baliwood: Low-Key Nights With Cheap Drinks
Want a night out in a bar where you can just enjoy some games with your friends? Then Baliwood is the place to be.
They got pool tables, beer bong, mega Jenga, gaming consoles, darts and more for you to enjoy.
When you’re not chilling on the comfortable sofas with a cocktail in hand, then you can be having some amazing fun with your friends.

4. Motel Mexicola: A Lively Bar With A Relaxed Atmosphere
This colourful and Mexican-themed bar is just across the road from Old Man’s, and a lot of people enjoy the cheap happy hour cocktails in Old Man’s and then head to Mexicola.
The drinks are often tequila-based here, and they are usually pretty strong, though more expensive than across the road.
Be warned, things get pretty wild in this place before closing time (around 1 a.m.).

5. XBR: Getting Ready For A Big Night Out
X Bar was the first convenience store to see the potential in making things more comfortable for its drinking customers.
Now, it’s no longer a convenience store, but the drinks are still cheap and there is even a live band playing on the weekends.
Ladies can enjoy free-flow drinks on Ladies’ Night too. Overall, it’s an ideal spot for a party every night if you’re on a tight budget.

6. Yoga Mart: Convenience Store Prices
Yoga Mart was clearly inspired by our last entry on the list. It’s a convenience store with a makeshift bar at night.
That means you pay low prices for the beers they sell in the store, and there’s a simple shot bar in the kiosk outside (it only sells Joss shots).
A lot of people will wander down to Old Man’s and stop here on the way for a quick shot or three.

7. Luigi’s Pizza (Monday Night Madness): Pizza, A Few Drinks And A Serious Party Vibe
Luigi’s is a pizza place. It’s also a huge deal every Monday night. That’s because from 8 p.m. onwards, the restaurant becomes a bar and club.
They have DJs and a serious cocktail list for this occasion. We’d note that you have to pay to get in after 8 p.m. so the best way to do this night out is to book online about a week in advance for a 7 p.m. dinner.
Then, you can stay and enjoy the club side of things for free.

8. Sol Rooftop Bali: The Best Rooftop Bar In Canggu
This spot on Pererenan Beach has a nice view over the local area, and it’s a very laidback affair.
There’s a pool where you can enjoy a quick dip between cocktails, and as one of the only rooftop bars in Canggu, it’s pretty busy every night.
It’s not the biggest party on the island, but there’s no doubt that they always have a DJ until 11 p.m. each night.

9. The Shady Pig: A Fantastic Selection Of Drinks
The Shady Pig was the first of the Shady family’s bars in Bali, and it’s one of the best spots for cocktails on the island.
However, be warned, it’s usually very crowded, and you will want to make a reservation if you want to have any hope of getting in (they’ll give you the password to enter when you book).
It’s a good idea to dress to impress in this venue; speakeasies tend to attract a slightly more upmarket customer than most bars in Bali.

10. The Mailroom: An Intimate Speakeasy With Great Cocktails
Another speakeasy where booking is essential, The Mailroom is hidden at the back of a fake Poke Bowl Cafe facade in the Berawa Beach area.
You use the mailbox number they give you to open a mailbox, which leads you to the key that opens the main door to the bar.
This isn’t a big bar, and it’s better to visit as a couple than with a big group, as it can feel a bit cramped.

11. The Shady Fox: A Stunning Cocktail Menu
Another member of the Shady family in Canggu is The Shady Fox, and again, you must book to secure the password.
The vibe inside is very 1930s London, and their mixologists are among the best in Bali.
Check out the incredible Shogi Ice Tea. That’s the kind of cocktail that we dream about when we’re planning our Bali holidays.

12. Surfer’s Bar Bali: Enjoy Happy Hour On Echo Beach
This is more of an old-school beach bar than anything else on our list, and if you’re in the mood for a nice sunset view with no frills and no minimum spend, you might enjoy this place.
It is a popular hangout for real-life surfers (it being on Echo Beach certainly helps with that), and it’s a little bit more chilled out than Batu Bolong or Berawa.
If you find that it’s too busy for you, then there’s another bar nearby called Othree which offers a pretty similar feel.

13. Little Havana Bali: A Slice Of Cuba For A Wild Night Out
If you want the most dangerous night out in Bali, then try ordering the 99 shots for 999,000 IDR (that’s about $60 USD or $100 AUD) deal in Little Havana.
Or don’t and go down on a Wednesday, where if you spend just 200,000 IDR (about $15 USD or $20 AUD), you can get a tattoo and a cocktail!

14. Revolver Espresso: Where Many A Fun Night Begins
If there’s one bar in town that’s nearly as popular as FINNS it’s Revolver, and that’s because of its incredible happy hour deals.
With beers for just 50,000 IDR and cocktails too, it’s one fo the cheapest places to start a night in Canggu, and when everywhere else is still warming up, the crowd in Revolver is spilling onto the streets.
Even their DJ decks are roadside on the busiest nights, there’s just not enough room for everyone, even the entertainment!

15. 707 Beachberm: More Than An Old School Beach Bar
Batu Belig often gets overlooked as it’s on the border of Canggu and Seminyak, but if you fancy a beach bar with some decent beer deals, 707 Beachberm is worth a look in.
It’s a bit more polished than some of the other beach bars, and Batu Belig’s a little less crowded, so you can have more of a relaxing time at this spot.

The 5 Best Nightclubs For Canggu Nightlife With A Dance Floor
1. PLATONIC
OK, it’s not quite a nightclub, but it does have a stage and there’s a dance floor, so it’s close enough.
This is where the kids in the know go to enjoy a blend of hip hop, techno, pop and R&B and enjoy cocktails.
If you like an intimate party venue, this should be right up your street.

2. Atlas Super Club
With their beach club currently failing to pull in the crowds, we can’t recommend Atlas in the day for parties, but there’s no doubt that their super club is still one of the top spots for dancing the night away.
Yes, you will have to pay to sit down in the Atlas Super Club, but that’s just how things work in Asia. Overall, if it’s busy, this is a great nightlife spot, but if it’s quiet, just like the Atlas Beach Club, it can feel really empty due to its scale.
We’d recommend, if you want to make sure of a crowd, looking to book when they hold a special event, as these tend to be a decent draw.

3. Sand Bar
OK, Sand Bar isn’t really a nightclub either. But it’s where everyone goes when the nightclubs are all closed and you still want to dance and party while you drink.
It’s on the beach at Batu Bolong and there’s no doubt that there are some unsavoury elements who can be in this club, make sure to keep a close eye on your possessions while you party here.
However, it’s also a lot of fun, and it’s one of the very few places in Bali where you can still be partying when the sun comes up.

4. Vault Nightclub Bali
The musical theme changes from night to night in Vault, so it’s worth checking in advance to ensure that the vibe matches your mood.
We like the Afro Beats on Wednesdays, and the drinks are good, and the dance floor is wild.
However, be warned, there are no places to sit and relax in this club; you’ll be on your feet from the moment you enter to the moment that you leave.

5. The Mesa Bali
The crowd arrives at this French-inspired club late. So, if you’re there before midnight, you’ll probably be there by yourself.
There’s a decent loung area between dances and a cool pool on the roof where you can chill out if you need to.
Be warned, though, non-smokers will not love spending time in this place; there is smoke absolutely everywhere in this venue, and you will wake up smelling like an ashtray.
Having said that, it’s a small price to pay for a good night out according The Mesa’s biggest fans.
