Infinity Beach Club Review: A Hotel Beach Club Aiming For The Big Leagues?

Infinity Beach Club is in the famous Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa in Bali and it abuts the Indian Ocean and Seminyak Beach, perfectly, but does this spot measure up to the reputation of its parent hotel?

Our team decided to pay a visit to the Infinity Beach Club and see whether this place is destined for the big leagues in Bali’s club scene or if it’s an also ran, this is what we learned.

Introduction – Getting To Infinity Beach Club

Getting to Infinity Beach Club is fairly straightforward as it’s in Seminyak and Grab and Gojek will have no problems finding it.

There is parking at the Seminyak Beach Resort (for a fee) that you can use when you visit this club or you can park nearby and walk if you can find a space.

Where Is Infinity Beach Club? Seminyak, Bali, Badung Regency, Bali 80361, Indonesia

What’s Inside Infinity Beach Club?

Infinity Beach Club has an infinity pool, Manja Corner for kids, a pool deck and sun loungers, as well as bar, restaurant and lounge facilities.

Our Review Breakdown For Infinity Beach Club

As with all the beach clubs that we review, Infinity Beach Club was visited by our review team who graded the beach club from 1 (worst) to 5 (best) on a set of 20 criteria.

This translates to a final score of between 20 (worst) and 100 (best). To ensure fairness, the whole team vote on each score before it’s included in the review.

Once a review goes live on our website, it will stay in place for, at least, one year before we revisit the club and update the review.

Our aim is to be constructive highlighting areas that each club can improve and offering a fair insight to our readers of what they can expect at each club.

Pre-Club Advertising

Infinity Beach Club offers many things, but we didn’t know it existed until we started researching every beach club for this site.

There’s nothing in the way of pre-club advertising and that’s a shame because this spot with its oceanfront infinity pool and pleasant pool deck would be better if it was a bit busier.

Part of the joy of the club experience is sharing it with other people and we always think clubs are best when they’re full.

Rating:

Location

This beach club really is on the absolute oceanfront in Seminyak and you can’t beat the view of the Indian Ocean from here.

It’s a part of Seminyak that is easy to reach by Grab or Gojek and because it’s part of the Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa there is (for a fee) parking available if you drive yourself to the club.

It’s within walking distance of other clubs, restaurants, spas, and shops too, so you won’t find yourself bored if you want a change of scene after spending some time at Infinity Beach Club.

However, traffic can be quite bad in this area and you may need to leave some travel time if you’ve reserved a bed for a specific time.

Rating:

Booking Process & Seating Options

Infinity Beach Club uses WhatsApp for bookings. This feels like a joke in 2024. There’s no reason that an upmarket 5-star resort with its own beach club can’t invest in a proper booking engine.

This means you will find it difficult to determine where you will be sitting inside the venue when you book and you will also have to go through one of those convoluted hotel payment processes if you want to pay the minimum spend and entry fee in advance.

Infinity Beach Club really needs to do better in this area.

Rating:

Entry Fee

Infinity Beach Club requires both an entrance fee and a minimum spend and we’re not big fans of this practice.

It’s only 150,000 IDR to get in and another 350,000 IDR per person as a minimum spend but we don’t understand what that gets us.

There are dozens of beach clubs on this island with an infinity pool that you can use for free and where you don’t pay for a sun lounger on a pool deck.

It feels like nickel and diming rather than an effort to provide their customers with value and there’s no need for it.

Rating:

Minimum Spend

The Infinity Beach Club has a minimum spend of 350,000 IDR in addition to their entrance fee.

While we don’t find this minimum spend outrageous in its own right (in fact, it’s quite competitive for a beach club), we do think once they’ve taken an entry fee from you, you should be able to set up by the oceanfront infinity pool without being forced to spend anything more.

The strange thing is that the Infinity Beach Club has a lot going for it, we don’t think they need to act like a money extraction machine.

People will spend money here anyway.

Rating:

Welcome And Security

As you would expect from the famous Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa, you will get a very warm Balinese welcome when you visit Infinity Beach Club.

You will also undergo a basic bag search, which is something we approve of, not because you will be asked to leave anything that the club doesn’t approve of at the front desk, but because it improves security and safety for all guests.

Rating:

Inclusions

Given there’s an entrance fee and a minimum spend, we wanted to see more inclusions than just a towel. Yet, that’s all there is and there’s no facility to upgrade to a premier or VIP tier.

Infinity Beach Club offers some genuinely lovely facilities but we’re at a loss as to why they’re not paying attention to the small details. They could really transform the experience of visiting this club ito something spectacular.

Rating:

Service

The service was the sort of service that we’d expect at the Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa and it’s good to see that ethos carries through to the Infinity Beach Club.

However, it wasn’t the best service ever, it was just good service in front of some lovely ocean views.

Rating:

Entertainment

When we visited Infinity Beach Club there was no evidence of live DJs, but they do occasionally have live music, we’re told.

However, all we had at Infinity Beach Club was piped chill-out tunes of a similar vein that we can hear at any of a dozen beach clubs in Bali. It wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t stand out, either.

Rating:

Pool Quality

The oceanfront infinity pool is definitely the big selling point at the Infinity Beach Club and it’s quite lovely. It’s right over the Indian Ocean and the ocean views here are amazing.

The water is very clean and we’d be happy to swim here at any time of the day. The sun loungers on the pool deck are comfortable too.

However, children are not allowed in the infinity pool and must be kept in the Manja Corner away from the adults-only pool.

And there’s only one pool, which is a bit of a letdown in a high-end beach club like Infinity Beach Club.

Rating:

Menu/Drinks Pricing

We felt the prices on the menu were a fair reflection of what we’d expect to find in any beach club in Seminyak and they weren’t expensive or cheap.

Overall, we felt that these prices represented value for money too and as you will see in the next section, the quality of the products was more than acceptable.

Rating:

Food And Drink Quality

We thought the food was some of the most Instagrammable food in Bali. If you want to get some social media shots while you’re in a beach club, Infinity Beach Club is good for it at every turn.

Overall, we thought the food was delicious too and the portions were of a reasonable size.

The cocktails were cold and strong enough that we felt they were worth what we paid for them too.

However, this isn’t the best beach club food ever, but it was very good.

Rating:

Sunset View

One thing we love about the Infinity Beach Club is the sunsets. The ocean views from the oceanfront infinity pool are superb and that means you get a prime position to enjoy the light show at the end of each day.

We think this is really important when we look at a club, people come to Bali, in part, for the amazing sunsets on this sun-kissed tropical island and what could be better than kicking it back in style with a nice cold cocktail as the sun dips below the horizon?

Rating:

Music And Ambiance

As we mentioned earlier, they are meant to have live music here at times but we only found piped chill-out music.

While the club can have a lively atmosphere, it’s often not busy enough to make you feel a real vibe and overall, it was “alright” in this category.

Rating:

Payment Options

You can pay by cash or card anywhere inside the Infinity Beach Club and it’s a painless process.

However, there are no options to pay for your happy hour drinks or dinner with QRIS, e-wallets or crypto and that’s a bit of a shame.

Rating:

Exit Process

Getting out of the Infinity Beach Club is a painless process. This is a small club and it’s not a long walk from the oceanfront infinity pool to the front door of the club and hotel.

You won’t get lost along the way and you will get a decent farewell from the staff too.

Rating:

Transportation

One area where the Infinity Beach Club does have an advantage over some of the other Seminyak Beach area clubs is transport.

Because it’s within the grounds of the Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa, you won’t be hassled by the taxi mafia.

Rating:

Social Media Presence

The Infinity Beach Club doesn’t have its own social media presence and just piggybacks the Seminyak Beach Resort.

This might be out of convenience as there’s another Infinity Beach Club in a completely different part of the world, but it means there’s very little to go on regarding what to expect when you go to Infinity Beach Club online.

Rating:

Other/General Comments

It would be so easy for this club to elevate the experience from the acceptable to the incredible and we can’t work out why they haven’t.

There’s no doubt that the infinity pool and views of the Indian Ocean are the big draw here, but it could be so much better.

Rating:

Our Overall Opinion Of Infinity Beach Club

We enjoyed our time at this club and will definitely return one day to see if they’ve upped their game and to enjoy another dip in the infinity pool.

However, we don’t feel this should be at the top of anyone’s list of clubs to visit in Bali at the moment. It’s good, but it’s not great.

Final Thoughts On Infinity Beach Club

Infinity Beach Club could be a real powerhouse of a club with just a bit more attention to detail. It’s certainly worth visiting and if you’re staying in the Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa, you’re going to be pleased with this facility.

However, it’s not in the premier league of beach clubs in Bali, just yet, either and if you’re only going to visit one club in Bali, you might want to choose somewhere else.
