Vue Beach Club is part of the popular LV8 Resort Hotel and given that you can get direct access to the beach club without staying in the hotel, we sent our team along to find out the skinny on Vue Beach Club.
This is what we learned during our time at Vue.
Introduction – Getting To Vue
Vue Beach Club is at the end of Berawa Beach and it’s relatively easy to get to in a Grab or Gojek and they have parking at the hotel too.
Be warned that traffic in this area can get pretty bad at peak times and you may need to set off early to make any timed reservations that you have.

Our Review Breakdown For Vue
Vue Beach Club, like all clubs on our site, has been judged against 20 criteria and ranked from 1 to 5 in each.
Our team votes on the scores to ensure they are representative of all of our
Pre-Club Advertising
There’s not much advertising going on for Vue Beach Club and we suspect that’s because it’s a hotel beach club. It’s not non-existent, but we can’t remember the last time we saw a Vue Beach Club ad, either.
But you’d think one of Bali’s premier resorts would have, at least, a little something in the bank to draw people to this part of Berawa Beach.
It would be absolutely fantastic if they did, because, in fairness, one of Vue’s challenges at the moment is that it’s not always very full.
Location
This spot on the edge of Berawa Beach could be a little more accessible but you won’t have any problems getting a Grab or Gojek to drop you off here.
There’s parking at the hotel and the joy of a hotel beach club is there’s no taxi mafia outside when you leave.
However, it’s not as close to other amenities as some of the other Canggu beach clubs.
Other beach clubs not far from this spot include Potato Head and Old Man’s.
Booking Process & Seating Options
We find it incredible that Vue Beach Club has no online booking system but while their website is very keen to get you to step inside the LV8 resort hotel and to stay a few nights, there’s no way to book a bed at the beach club.
That means direct access to Vue Beach Club comes from being a walk-in and gambling that there won’t be enough people in there before you to prevent you from securing a bed.
That’s not the most relaxing way to start a day at Vue Beach Club.
Entry Fee
Vue Beach Club doesn’t have an entrance fee but you can only take a seat in their restaurant if you don’t agree to a minimum spend.
We think that’s sort of fair enough and we encourage all beach clubs to allow visitors inside for free just so that they can visit and see what they’re committing to before they pay for anything.
Minimum Spend
The minimum spend requirements at Vue Beach Club aren’t clearly laid out online and they seem to change when you visit the club too.
You have a wide range of seating options, each with a different minimum spend.
A beanbag or a single daybed has a much lower minimum spend than a high-end luxury seat.
When we attended, the minimum spend was a very reasonable 300,000 IDR per person.
However, we can’t stress enough that we think Vue Beach Club should be completely transparent when it comes to the minimum spend and not keep it as a surprise on the door.
Welcome And Security
Because Vue Beach Club is part of a hotel, if you want to enjoy the infinity pool and stunning ocean views, you have to walk through the hotel to Vue Beach Club.
This is a bit confusing and though there are signs pointing the way, we do feel that it might be better if a staff member guided you through the hotel to the beach club.
As with all beach clubs in Bali, they do carry out a basic security check at Vue Beach Club and you may be asked to leave certain items with the hotel security team until you leave.
Inclusions
If you agree to a minimum spend, you will be provided with a towel at Vue Beach Club, which you can use in the infinity pool; otherwise, nothing else is included.
No complimentary drinks, food, etc. and no option to upgrade to a higher tier of service.
Service
This was a bit of a surprise to us but Vue Beach Club isn’t very good at providing high-end service.
Given that the hotel is an upmarket 5-star property, we’d have expected more than this.
The staff aren’t very attentive and we found ourselves sweating in the hot sun and frantically waving to try and get some cold drinks in the afternoon.
Entertainment
Vue Beach Club does put some effort into entertainment but you need to arrive after 5 p.m. to experience it.
Then, they have live performances, DJs and promotions to get the party going (including occasionally some complimentary drinks).
If you arrive before 5 p.m. it’s the usual beach club canned hits compilation that we feel like we’ve heard a million times before.
We’d like to see Vue Beach Club put a bit more effort into the daytime music.
Pool Quality
There’s only one infinity pool at Vue Beach Club but we were pleasantly surprised that it was a decent size and that the water was extremely clean.
Given that it doesn’t seem to get too busy at Vue Beach Club, we think that you’re going to have no issues swimming in this infinity pool and there’s also direct access to Bereawa Beach from the club, which is a nice touch.
Menu/Drinks Pricing
We thought the menu was reasonably priced when compared to other beach clubs.
Nothing stood out as particularly expensive and their happy hour promo ensures you can get some very cheap drinks during the course of the day.
Overall, we tend to think you get what you pay for and the premium at Vue Beach Club is worth paying.
Food And Drink Quality
We really liked the food at Vue Beach Club and were amazed at how big the portions were (something other beach clubs could learn from in Bali).
However, there’s nowhere that you can eat and drink and escape the smoke coming from smoking guests and that’s not exactly fun.
We don’t mind smoking in beach clubs, some of us even smoke ourselves, but we do think people should have some space to eat and drink without being bathed in other people’s smoke too.
Sunset View
Jump in the infinity pool and you will love the sunset view over Berawa Beach, there’s no doubt that one of the primary draws of beach clubs in Bali is the sunset and the view at Vue Beach Club is great.
We felt that you should be able to see the sunset from almost any location within Vue Beach Club without making too much of an effort to do so, which is nice too.
Music And Ambiance
The music was very much the same as we’ve heard in most beach clubs in Bali and we were a little disappointed by that.
We feel that high-end properties like Vue Beach Club ought to be creating better-than-average sounds.
The ambience was pleasant enough though and we didn’t spy a single influencer or out-of-control young child all day long, which makes for a pleasant change.
Payment Options
Vue Beach Club is happy to take cards and cash, but we were surprised that there weren’t any QRIS signs up and you certainly can’t pay with Bitcoin (BTC) or other blockchain-based currency.
Exit Process
It’s back through the hotel when you want to leave Vue Beach Club and while you may be familiar with the route now, we’re not sure that it’s the best end to a day at Vue Beach Club, either.
Transportation
One of the nice things about being a hotel complex is that the area is blessedly free of taxi mafia. So, you can order up a Grab or Gojek and they will come straight to the hotel door to pick you up.
The only downside is that as with many parts of Bali, it can get quite busy in this area and you may have to wait a while for a Grab.
Social Media Presence
Vue Beach Club makes decent use of social media and they regularly update the Vue Beach Club Instagram, etc. accounts.
However, we don’t know what this trend of taking pictures of an empty beach club is about, but we don’t think it helps to sell people on a day at Vue Beach Club at all.
Other/General Comments
Vue Beach Club is clearly a hotel beach club and the hotel it’s attached to is a very nice, if slightly dated 5-star property.
Overall, it probably punches slightly above its weight class but the lack of top-notch service lets it down.
It’s also let down by the toilet facilities, which aren’t very clean and are quite broken. Time for an upgrade, LV8.
Our Overall Opinion Of Vue
If Vue Beach Club cleaned up its act when it comes to the booking and minimum spend routine and gave the beach club staff the kind of training that the main hotel staff have had, it would be in the running for one of the best hotel beach clubs on the island.
It’s in a great location, and the infinity pool, layout, etc. are very nice to look at and the menu is solid and value for money too.
Vue ranks in our top 10 beach clubs in Canggu as well as in our epic collection of the best beach clubs in Bali.
FAQs
Can You Swim At Vue?
Yes! You can swim at Vue Beach Club. There’s an infinity pool which is of a decent size and in our experience, Vue Beach Club never gets crowded enough for the pool to be too busy for you to swim in.
What Can You Do At Vue?
As with most beach club venues, you can enjoy great food and drink at Vue, swim in their infinity pool and relax and chill out in the sun. You can watch the sunset and enjoy the DJs playing into the night.
Is Vue A Family-Friendly Venue?
This beach club does admit children, but we confess, we don’t see many children when we’re here. We think that it’s a beach club that could use a little more promotion generally, so it’s possible that many families just don’t know it’s there.
If you prefer an adults-only venue, you should find that Vue Beach Club delivers the kind of vibe you’re looking for at the moment.
Who Owns Vue?
The LV8 group is a publically traded company.
Final Thoughts On Vue
We like Vue Beach Club and feel that it’s a decent example of a hotel beach club. We’d like to see them put a bit more effort into the service and completely overhaul the booking and minimum spend process.
However, overall, if you want a quiet day with an infinity pool, perhaps, to nurse a sore head after partying at another beach club, you can do much worse than Vue Beach Club.
