Uluwatu is an area of Bali that’s becoming increasingly popular with visitors and it’s home to many of the beach clubs that make the island such a fun to place to be.
In fact, we’ve found 21 beach clubs for you to choose from and we’ve ranked them in order of preference based on the scores that our review teams gave them when they visited these places.
We should note that we’ve taken a broad view of the definition of “Uluwatu” and included both Pecatu and Ungasan in the area. We’ve not included Jimbaran or Nusa Dua, both of which are fairly near to Uluwatu but which have more of a distinct identity of their own when compared to Pecatu and Ungasan.
Our 21 Top Beach Clubs In Uluwatu
Locca Sea House

Locca is the best-rated beach club in Uluwatu by our team of reviewers and it’s the 13th best (tied with Warung Pantai and Cocoon Beach Club neither of which are in Uluwatu) in Bali overall in our opinion.
It’s a very family-friendly spot rather than a live music venue and there’s some lush greenery around the sun loungers and swimming pool area.
However, there are two things holding Locca back – it’s a poor place to watch the sunset as the nearby cliff blocks the best views and they have held events in the past where tickets were sold, the artist cancelled and guests were not refunded.

Klive Beach Club

Klive is a very new entrant to the Bali beach club scene and so far, it’s done a great job of making an impression.
There are still some rough edges that need smoothing out, but we suspect that in a year or two, this will be the best beach club in Uluwatu.
For now, the inside is very attractive but there aren’t quite enough people to make an entire day out of this place. There are a few other beach clubs within a short drive of Klive though, so you can always add another club to your day out.

Ulu Cliff House

There’s no doubt that Ulu Cliff House is one of the swankier attractions in the area and before sunset it’s a clifftop day club and after sunset, a very pleasant restaurant.
The vibe is very relaxed here and the DJs spin up low-fi beats all day long.
However, along with many other places in the area, it’s pretty expensive for what it is.

Oneeighty

The glass-bottomed infinity pool is the big draw at this club and it is pretty cool, though the glass could use a clean to get the best views.
There is both an entry fee and a minimum spend requirement, but this does get you a ride from the car park to the club in a golf buggy.
Be warned though, this location seems to attract more influencers than every spot in Canggu combined.

Timbis Beach Club

We really liked Timbis on our visit, it’s a small club away from the more popular areas like Melasti Beach and that means far fewer tourists.
The beach here is absolutely stunning and the pool area is pleasant and the service is excellent at Timbis.
However, the shower and restroom area needs a significant upgrade, they’re looking dated and beaten up. It’s not a deal breaker but it does bring down our rating for the club.

Magus Warung

We absolutely loved Magus Warung and it’s, by far, the best value spot for a beach club in all of Uluwatu and amazingly, it’s on Melasti Beach.
It doesn’t have the facilities of a big beach club (which is why it suffers on our ranking score) but it has lots of heart and amazing service.
If we were spending time in Uluwatu, Magus Warung would be among our first ports of call, it’s one of the few Uluwatu Beach Clubs that we can wholeheartedly recommend.

Single Fin Bali

Single Fin is a clifftop club and it has some amazing views out over the ocean. Their minimum spend is very reasonable and they have live music from DJs almost every day.
We enjoyed our time at this club quite a lot, but there is a downside which is – so does everyone in the neighbourhood.
At sunset, Single Fin is packed out and it can become pretty uncomfortable to be there. Which is a shame, because it’s one of the Uluwatu beach clubs that we really enjoyed.

Minoo Beach Club

Minoo is a gorgeous little beach club on Melasti Beach and we really like the views from the day beds here.
We did think the minimum spend was a touch excessive but this is true in most Uluwatu beach clubs. However, we don’t think you’ll have a problem spending it on their fantastic food and drinks.
The downsides are a very small pool area which can get a bit cramped and the non-stop cheesy techno that they play everywhere in this venue.

White Rock Beach Club

White Rock often appears on lists of the best beach clubs in Uluwatu but we’re not sure it stands out much from other Uluwatu beach clubs.
The infinity pool is lovely and provides a world-class ocean view, the drinks are cold and strong, and the food is very pleasant. The DJs do good work too.
However, it’s quite expensive and clearly understaffed to the detriment of the service provided.

Tropical Temptation Beach Club

Tropical Temptation clearly wants to be an iconic destination in Bali and there’s no doubt that’s attractive inside.
However, while there’s no entrance fee there is a towel fee and a minimimum spend is mandatory. Both this fee and the menu prices are among the most expensive in Bali.
You will also find getting to and from the car park to be one of the most frustrating experiences on the island.
There’s a lot of potential at Tropical Temptation but it’s not being realized, yet.

Surga Beach Club

Surga is the ultimate in humble beach clubs in Uluwatu. There are no infinity pools, no sand lounge, no entry fee, no VIP areas, etc.
What you get are sun loungers (100,000 IDR for two with an umbrella between them, cold beers, the sand and a view of the ocean.
If your idea of pure bliss is just spending time in the Bali sun, you won’t be disappointed.

Savaya

When you set your entrance fee and minimum spend sky high, you set our expectations of what you’re going to deliver sky high too.
We found Savaya a bit too frustrating for that. The entry fee varies daily based on the artist, the minimum spend is 3,000,000 IDR ++ per person and it’s just too much
The pools are small, the menu is insanely expensive, the food and drinks were also worse than in most beach clubs in Uluwatu.

El Kabron Cliff Club

If you want to visit this club, book in advance, a long time in advance and book a seat away from the speaker system. Otherwise, it’s too loud inside.
The food and drinks are pretty good though and they have live DJs which justify some of the inflated pricing.
But the 350,000 IDR ++ entry fee to use a pool? That’s ridiculous and when it’s combined with a very high and mandatory minimum spend – it’s hard to say it’s worth the entry price.

Sundays Beach Club

Riding the cliffside elevator down to the beach at Sundays Beach Club is a lot of fun.
What’s not so fun is the highest entry fee on the island and while they do turn some of it into a food and beverage credit, 800,000 IDR for an adult and 400,000 IDR for a child is steep.
You will also have to agree to a high minimum spend to access any of their premium seating on top of this fee!

Klapa New Kuta Beach

Klapa has seen better days and we think it’s gone downhill since we published our review.
However, if you want a very cheap beach club – then their 100,000 IDR minimum spend is the lowest in Uluwatu.
The view of the sea is just find here too.

The Warung Beach Club – Pantai Melasti

This is a charming beach bar that we really enjoyed spending some time at – there’s a very low minimum spend and no entry fee.
This reflects that there aren’t many facilities here, it’s a place to sit on a day bed on the sand and enjoy the ocean breeze and sounds of the waves.
We found it to be excellent value for money and don’t let that 49/100 put you off visiting, we’d go back if we were in the area.

Karma Beach Club

Karma Beach Club is on Karma Beach (which is actually a part of Melasti Beach).
It’s actually quite a nice place but there is so much construction work going on in this area that all you can hear is banging, drilling and hammering all day long.
We thought the service was good though and once they’ve resolved all the local construction issues, we’ll come back to Karma Beach Club and see if we can upgrade our review scores.

Palmilla Beach Club

No amount of jaw-dropping views can compensate for the ridiculously loud music at Palmilla Beach Club.
We don’t mind some music, in fact, we think that chilling on sun beds with some tunes is what beach clubs are about.
But the music here is deafening and that’s a shame because it’s an attractive place where you can get some beautiful photos for your Instagram feed.

Mana Uluwatu

Mana Uluwatu is a very pleasant spot, but it’s a bit removed from the beach. We liked their menu offers fantastic food that is fully sustainable.
We didn’t like that, once again, the food and drink were extremely expensive for what it was.
It’s also not the biggest club in the area, so you’ll want to arrive early if you want to guarantee a seat. Our full review of this spot is still pending.

Sunset Cabana @ Alila

This is more of a beach bar than a club and it is something of a hidden gem if you don’t mind paying a small fortune for your food and drinks.
The Alila Villas are one of the most prestigious and upmarket resorts in Uluwatu and if you want to be serenaded by live violins (Saturday sunsets only), then this is the place to go.
For the rest of us, it’s probably better to find an ocean deck at another beach club and conserve our cash. Our full review for this club is still pending.

Origano Beach Club & Bar

It’s fair to say that we weren’t impressed with Origano when we visited and while our full review still hasn’t been typed up, we felt that it was the worst experience we’d had at a beach club in Bali.
The “club” is essentially a food cart serving some sun loungers but this “exclusive experience” requires an outrageous minimum spend. The service isn’t great either.
We’d only visit Origano if we were desperate to see every beach club in Uluwatu.

One To Consider Before You Visit Uluwatu’s Beach Clubs
FINNS Beach Club (and FINNS VIP Beach Club) – Our Top Beach Club In Bali
FINNS is not that far from Uluwatu and if you aim for a time with low traffic, you could be in Canggu in an hour. It’s considered widely to be the world’s best beach club and our reviewers concur.
It was the only beach club to get a perfect score from our review team and the mixture of excellent food, amazing vibes, gorgeous pools, outstanding service and happy guests is second to none.
We always say that if you’re only going to visit a single beach club in Bali, it should be FINNS. It sets the bar that all the other beach clubs here aspire to.
Sipping cocktails on a day bed while watching the breathtaking views of the world’s best sunset and listening to live performances from international and local DJs at FINNS is an experience that just can’t be beaten in Bali.

FAQs
Which Is The Best Beach Club In Uluwatu?
Our team rated Locca Sea House as the best beach club in Uluwatu. We should note that overall, this area didn’t perform as well as Canggu or Seminyak.
It’s missing an iconic beach club like FINNS or Potatohead and while you can find a stylish beach club in this area, you will end up spending more than you should to enjoy it most of the time.
Many of the beach clubs in this area levy both an entrance fee and a minimum spend which feels nothing short of scandalous.
We’d also like to stress that the majority of the best beach clubs in Uluwatu aren’t good for partying, but are more about having access to a nice swimming pool by the Indian Ocean.
Does Uluwatu Have Good Nightlife?
Uluwatu has some nightlife but it’s not a party destination like Kuta, Seminyak or Canggu and if you don’t have access to a vehicle then you may find that getting from a clifftop day club to a nightclub or bar takes a long time as you wait for a Grab or Gojek to arrive.
And if you do opt to drive, then you’re going to find that you shouldn’t be drinking and who wants nightlife just because it offers fantastic food and live music?
Which Beach In Uluwatu Is The Best?
We think Suluban Beach is probably the most attractive beach in the area, though if you want to get to this beach you will need to tackle a fairly narrow, steep stairway to get there.
Surfers would probably argue that the main Uluwatu Beach is the place to go as it has some of the most challenging surf breaks in Bali.
What Is The Number One Beach Club In Bali?
FINNS is the number one beach club in Bali. If you only go to one beach club on the island, we recommend you make that only beach club FINNS.
The sparkling infinity pools by the ocean, the direct access to the beach, the food that rivals fine dining quality, the cold cocktails and the spectacular entertainment are all great reasons to visit FINNS.
Final Thoughts On Best Beach Clubs, Uluwatu
Nothing beats a day at a beach house or beach club with a refreshing pool, comfortable day beds and an amazing view of the Indian Ocean.
It’s an experience that the beachfront destination of Uluwatu is made for and you can enjoy the absolutely stunning views and Bali sunset from many clubs on the pristine sands of the beaches here.
However, overall, the beach clubs here don’t deliver as polished an experience as some of the beach clubs in other areas of Bali and you will pay a significant premium at these clubs – especially if you want to eat gourmet cuisine and drink high-end cocktails from a VIP cabana.
