The 6 Best Adults-Only Beach Clubs Bali: Places Where You Can Really Let Your Hair Down

Bali is awash with family-friendly beach clubs where people can top for a nice meal and a splash in the pool with their kids. But there are remarkably fewer adults-only beach clubs where you can rage hard without upsetting someone’s children.

In fact, to date, there are just 6 adults-only beach clubs in the province of Bali and given that one of them is on the island of Nusa Ceningan, there are just 5 adults-only beach clubs on the mainland.

Fortunately, our team has visited every single one of these beach clubs and here’s our run down of the top party-oriented beach clubs in Bali.

The Top 6 Adults-Only Beach Clubs In Bali: Party On!

FINNS Beach Club (and FINNS VIP Beach Club)

FINNS was, until recently, a family friendly beach club but after reinventing itself (something this club is famous for), it’s become an adults-only venue.

We don’t think this is a surprise as their stated objective is to deliver the world’s best party experience every single day. Parties involving lots of alcohol and dancing aren’t exactly what you need for your toddlers, are they?

And FINS is the world’s best beach club. It stands in a category all of its own and it’s the only beach club that we’ve reviewed that has a perfect score.

They’ve got 3 amazing pools, a large number of bars and restaurants and amazing entertainment that no other beach club can come close to matching.

You’ll also get an incredible view of the Indian Ocean at sunset and what could be better than kicking back in the infinity pool drinking ice cold cocktails listening to some tunes laid down by the best DJs on the island?

FINNS VIP Beach Club adds a premium layer to the regular beach club experience and it’s still very much an affordable day out. That’s the other thing we really like about FINNS, there’s no price gouging – it’s incredible value for money.

Azul Beach Club

Azul Beach Club is in the small beach town of Legian and there’s no doubt that its design is very appealing to the eye and your Instagram feed.

It is a beach club and that means you can sun yourself by the pool on a pleasant daybed and enjoy some icy cocktails from their onsite Tiki Bar (Bal’s first).

However, we’d note that this is more of a club than a beach club and the majority of the party takes place in the mid-level bar inside the bamboo building.

So, if you want to hang out with partygoers, you could probably skip the daybed and head upstairs to get raging.

Overall, we enjoyed spending time at Azul Beach Club with our main criticism being the very expensive food.

Le Pirate Beach Club

Le Pirate used to have a no kids in the pool policy but they’ve recently adopted a no-children policy throughout their venue.

We think that makes sense, this is a fairly small beach club in the middle of nowhere. It’s not that heavy on the “party vibe” but it’s definitely a place to relax over beers in the sun.

With no entry fee and no minimum spend for a place on their day beds, you’ll want to get to Le Pirate pretty early in the day to be sure of a seat.

And given that this beach club is on the island of Nusa Ceningan, that probably won’t be too hard as you’ll have to stay overnight either on this island or on Nusa Lembongan the island next door (there’s a bridge between the two islands) to get there at all.

Just be warned, it’s a bit of a bumpy scooter ride to get to this beach club.

Tropical Temptation Beach Club

Tropical Temptation is trying really hard to be “iconic”, but at the moment, for us, it’s not quite there.

The location on Melasti Beach is a real pain to get to from much of the island and if you’re not staying in Ungasan that might be a deal breaker for you.

Our time at Tropical Temptation was a mixed bag. We liked the lack of entrance fee, but can’t fathom why a beach club with such high prices and a minimum spend requirement also need to charge for towel rental.

We enjoyed the DJs (who only start work at 3 p.m.) and the service was OK. The pool area is nice enough and the glass pool with the bubble area is pretty cool.

However, there’s no sunset view and the food and drinks were very expensive. That’s not to say they weren’t good quality, but even still – the value for money just wasn’t there.

Our Review: Tropical Temptation Is An Expensive Day Out

Savaya

But if you thought that Tropical Temptation was expensive, nothing will prepare you for Savaya. This is a very ambitious beach club but with some serious flaws.

We can’t understand their policy of forcing walk-in guests to be segregated from the best tables in the house even when those tables are not booked.

It’s got an excellent view of the ocean but we found ourselves frustrated by the booking process – it’s super easy to get tickets for their nightclub operation, but the beach club is relegated to WhatsApp negotiations.

There is always an entrance fee and depending on the DJ, it can be quite substantial. There’s also a very high minimum spend requirement just to get a nice seat.

We did think the service was excellent and that the entertainment was OK. The pools are on the small side, mind you.

And the worst of it was the food, the premium prices some places charge can often be offset through the quality of their menu offering but that wasn’t the case at Savaya at all. The food was outright bad.

Overall, Savaya is fine for a party but it lacks the kind of attention to detail that makes a place like FINNS so much better.

El Kabron Cliff Club

If your idea of a great party is being bathed in music so loud that you can’t hear yourself speak – El Kabron is the place for you.

This is one beach club that’s not afraid to advertise what they do and you’ve probably been bombarded by their messaging ever since you arrived in Bali.

The booking process is fairly complicated as there’s far too much choice of fractionally different types of seating.

The entrance fee associated with using the pool is way too high (it should be zero in our opinion) and there’s a minimum spend associated with every seat, which isn’t cool.

We were impressed by the entertainment but felt the pool could be cleaner than it is. We also found that while it was expensive, the quality of the offerings didn’t match the price tags.

We should also note that El Kabron’s restaurant is not “adults-only” but it’s the only part of the venue where children are allowed to accompany their parents.

FAQs

Why Aren’t There More Adults-Only Beach Clubs In Bali?

We think that there are a few reasons why there aren’t more adults-only beach clubs in Bali and they include:

  • Location – the main party towns are those on the Southern coast of the island. Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Canggu, Jimbaran, Uluwatu and Ungasan. If you open up an adults-only beach club in somewhere like Lovina, it’s likely to be empty.
  • Bali is family-friendly – there’s no doubt that Bali is a family tourism destination and thus, for some clubs it makes sense to cater to the family market. After all, not every beach club is about partying – some are about chilling out.
  • Lack of brand identity – there are also several beach clubs that we can think of that ought to be adults-only. But in their rush to be “something to everyone”, they tend to be pretty poor at everything they do, instead. Really, if you have an onsite nightclub and a stage for pumping out tunes, you probably don’t need to be family-friendly, focus on the parties and your guests will be happier for it.

This also means that not every beach club billed as “family-friendly” is going to be conducive to a great family holiday. We wouldn’t want to take our kids to a party-oriented beach club, particularly not later in the day when things do tend to get quite “adult”, indeed.

Is Luna Beach Club Adults Only?

No, Luna Beach Club is open to children. However, their onsite nightclub – The Cave is only open to children in the early part of the day.

It becomes an adults-only space in the early evening and is meant to be a place where people can really let their hair down and party.

We confess, we find a lot of what Luna does confusing. Given that they’re located a long way from most people – they really should have a very consistent brand so that people understand if it’s worth travelling out all that way.

Can Children Go To FINNS Beach Club?

No, children cannot go to FINNS Beach Club. FINNS, as of May 1st, 2025, is an adults-only venue and everyone entering the venue must be aged 16 or over.

We think this is a great decision from a beach club that aims to create “the world’s best part experience every single day”. There are a lot of beach clubs that cater to families in Bai but only a small handful of beach clubs that aim their services at an adults-only audience.

This means that the beautiful folks who spend their days and nights in FINNS can really have fun without worrying about offending any families, etc. that might have turned up for the day.

Are Kids Allowed In Potato Head, Bali?

Yes, children are allowed in Potato Head, Bali. Potato Head is very much about chilling out and it’s not a party-oriented venue.

There is also an onsite resort where children can stay with their parents and enjoy access to the creative village.

Final Thoughts On The Best Adults-Only Beach Clubs In Bali

FINNS is our top pick of party venue on the island in any circumstances but now that they’ve gone adults-only, they are the best adults-only beach club in Bali.

We don’t think you can really say that you’ve been to Bali without visiting FINNS Beach Club – it’s the iconic beach club experience.

But if you’ve been to FINNS and want to try something else, then Azul Beach Club, Le Pirate Beach Club, Tropical Temptation Beach Club, Savaya Beach Club and El Kabron all offer adults-only beach clubs too.
