Bali has it all, sun, sea and sand, but all too often, it’s not the easiest place to spend time in the sea because of dangerous riptide currents.
The beach clubs and pool clubs of the island came to the rescue by building incredible swimming pools where everyone can enjoy some water without any risk.
But Bali also has a reputation for parties, and what could be better than combining cool pools with wild, hot parties?
Not every pool club or beach club in Bali is suitable for a party; in fact, many of them are focused on relaxing and watching the world go by, but these 18 venues all know how to hold a pool party that rocks.
So, without further ado, here are the 16 best pool parties in Bali and where to find them.
Our Top 16 Pool Party Spots In Bali: Splashing Around With Delight
Note: This list incorporates both beach clubs and pool clubs. As our business is reviewing beach clubs rather than pool clubs (which are very similar to beach clubs but which offer no beach access), if you can’t find a review link, it’s because it’s a pool club.
That doesn’t mean that we haven’t visited the venue; we have. However, we won’t be filing a formal review for it.
1. FINNS Beach Club

FINNS is the best beach club in Bali, according to us, the beach club’s marketing team and pretty much every reviewer who has ever been there.
It’s not hyperbole; this place is a stupid amount of fun. That’s because they have a single mission – to provide the world’s best party experience every single day. And they do.
So, it doesn’t matter which time of year you visit, there’s always a party in full swing at FINNS and with a number of oceanfront pools (and even private pools with their VIP cabanas) there are endless pool parties at FINNS.
There are live DJs, endless world-class entertainment, and the food and drinks are top-notch, too. While many of the island’s beach clubs seem to have seen a serious downturn in visitor numbers this year, FINNS is going from strength to strength.
Just make sure to book in advance if you want a daybed, not only do they offer the best prices for those who reserve in advance (it’s a minimum spend for food and drinks, the actual bed is free), but they’re often booked out days or even weeks in advance.

2. Kabana Ubud (K Club)

This jungle-based pool club in Ubud has some of the most stunning pools that you’re ever going to witness in Bali.
And partying is a big focus of the K Club experience; in fact, many reviewers complain that they went for a relaxing day out and found themselves immersed in loud music instead.
They serve food at K Club, but it’s a little more expensive than in the rest of the Ubud area, so you might want to eat before you go if you’re on a tight budget.
One thing that they’ve definitely mastered at Kabana Ubud is the service, and the staff work really hard to try and ensure you have a good time.

3. La Brisa

La Brisa is a popular spot in Canggu, and it’s got a distinct nautical theme which gives it an interesting visual identity.
While it’s not as party-hard as its near neighbour FINNS, there are regular parties at this beach club that see people going wild in the pool.
We’d recommend that you check for events before heading down to this beach club, as there’s no doubt that some days are more party-focused than others.
Make sure to check out the furniture, which is famously made from reclaimed wood and other eco-friendly materials.

4. Wanna Jungle Pool & Bar

This adults-only pool club in Ubud has three levels of infinity pools and some delicious views over the jungle canopy.
However, this is not always a party venue, and you will need to check ahead to see if there’s any chance of a pool party before you visit.
It’s part of the Kayon Jungle Resort, one of Ubud’s nicest hotels, and if you really want to spend time at this pool club, if you check into the hotel, you will get a guaranteed daybed, which is nice.
Address: Banjar Bresela Desa Bresela, Payangan, Kecamatan Ubud, Bali 80572

5. Cafe Del Mar, Bali

Cafe Del Mar, Bali, isn’t quite in the same league as its illustrious Ibizan counterpart, but they still manage to break away from the chill-out tunes occasionally to host a pool party.
You will want to check ahead and ensure there’s an event on at Cafe Del Mar to enjoy the best party experience at this beach club.
The one disappointing thing about this beach club is that there’s no access to the beach, and you actually have to leave the club to get to the sand.

6. The Jungle Club Ubud

The Jungle Club focuses mainly on relaxing days in the jungle of Ubud, so don’t rush down there assuming that you’re going to have a whale of a time dancing in the pool.
However, it does host occasional events where things go from a laidback day of luxurious food and drinks to a raucous day of fun.
So, if that’s what you’re looking for, make sure to contact the club and work out when the best time to visit might be.
Address: Jl. Jaga Raga No.8A, Celuk, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80582

7. Klive Beach Club

Klive is a relative newcomer to the Bali Beach Club scene, and we’ve got to be honest, we’ve been impressed by what we’ve seen so far.
We recently revisited the club after our initial review and will be updating that review (with a higher score) very soon.
This isn’t a place with a focus on partying, but they do have some events, and there may be an impromptu pool party if the right group of people are in during the day.
Address: Jalan Villa Kandara Banjar Wijaya Kusuma, Ungasan, Uluwatu, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80362, Indonesia

8. Cretya Ubud by Alas Harum Bali

If you want a party that’s a little more restrained than most, then you might want to check out Cretya Ubud, one of the more luxurious day clubs in that central Balinese town.
It’s not the cheapest place to be in Bali, but it is very nice inside and there’s an excellent restaurant where you can enjoy some very tasty food.
The emphasis is usually on relaxation, but the music gets “lively” in the late afternoon and the party vibe arrives, even if it is a tad muted compared to some of the other spots on this list.
Address: Jl. Raya Tegallalang, Tegallalang, Kec. Tegallalang, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80561
Online: Cretya
9. Mazu Beach Bali

Mazu Beach is an interesting place. It’s very much focused on offering an affordable alternative to some of the bigger-name beach clubs.
So, it’s not quite the luxurious upper-class living that you find elsewhere, but it’s friendly enough, and our review team enjoyed spending some time at Mazu.
They do have occasional parties too, and the atmosphere can get very upbeat, indeed, at these events. Check out their Facebook page to get an idea of anything coming up.

10. Woobar Bali

Woobar Bali is another upmarket beach club with occasional parties. So, it’s important to check before you book as to what you’re going to find when you arrive.
When we reviewed it we found it to be an incredibly expensive spot that didn’t quite deliver the value that we’d want for the price tag.
However, there’s no doubt that it’s a pleasant and fairly exclusive space, and if there is a party, you will be partying with some movers and shakers.
Address: Jalan Petitenget Seminyak, Kerobokan Kelod, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361

11. Atlas Beach Club

When Atlas Beach Club opened, we had great hopes of an amazing destination where the parties never end. Now, on some days, they barely get started.
The issue is that this big beach club is big, and it’s rarely remotely close to full, which leaves everyone inside feeling kind of cut off from everyone else.
On the rare events that this beach club is full, the parties can be mind-blowing, but this year? They’ve struggled to get even close to full, with even their big-name stars massively underperforming in the ticket sales department.
We wonder if it’s the fact that this once gourmet space has now started selling Indomie noodles that’s causing people to think twice about visiting? I mean, who goes to a beach club to spend $$ on a snack you can buy for pennies in any convenience store?

12. Luna Beach Club

Luna is an odd place, and it appears that this beach club may be in trouble with a recent announcement in the local press that some parts of the beach club did not have planning permission.
They have regular events and artists, which are sometimes confusingly priced in order to woo people out to the middle of nowhere before finding that the actual price is higher than advertised.
However, there’s no doubt that the waterslide from the pool into their adults-only nightclub space, The Cave, can be fun at a pool party there. Assuming anyone else turns up.

13. Tropical Temptation Beach Club

We found Tropical Temptation to be one of many beach clubs in Ungasan that wasn’t delivering value for money, and we generally recommend that people hit up the clubs in Canggu and Seminyak in preference to this area because of the price differences.
However, there’s no doubt that they have the occasional party at this spot, and the pool is decent enough for moving around in.
Be warned, though, your minimum spend gets you no privileges at all; you even have to rent a towel from the beach club in addition to this.
Address: Melasti Beach 88, Ungasan, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

Our Review: Tropical Temptation Not As Tempting As It Could Be
14. Savaya

Savaya is down towards the bottom of our list, despite having daily parties and a decent enough pool area.
That’s because not only is it expensive for Bali, but it has a ridiculously high minimum spend if you want to use a daybed. This is not a cheap night out.
However, it is one of the main venues on the island for international artists and DJs, and if you want to attend an event here, it’s unlikely to be repeated elsewhere on the island.

15. Ku De Ta

Ku De Ta is Bali’s oldest beach club, but while that could have meant that the place would be shabby and unkempt by now, instead, the club is still going strong.
It’s not as big as FINNS, and the music is often a little invasive in the pool area due to the sheer size of the sound system, but there’s always a party going on.
We’ve found that the best place in Ku De Ta is up on the second floor overlooking the pool, but for a pool party? You’re going to want a daybed and some sunscreen.
The bar area can be very busy at certain times of day, so it’s always good to ensure that you have table service to avoid the queues.

16. Jungle Fish Pool Bar Ubud

This open-air pool club in Ubud is part of the Chapung Sebali Resort, and it has an attractive split-level restaurant as well as a pool with a swim-up bar incorporated.
We should note that there aren’t pool parties at this venue all of the time. They have a resident DJ who plays on Bali weekends (Fri, Sat and Sun) and on a Wednesday evening.
Apart from at those times, this club is very much focused on chilling out by the pool and eating large meals or grazing on small bites.
There’s no entrance fee or minimum spend to use the pool, but if you want a daybed, you will need to agree to a minimum spend.
Address: Jl. Raya Sebali, Banjar Sebali, Keliki, Tegallalang – Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80561

FAQs
Which Is Better FINNS Or Potato Head?
FINNS is Bali’s best beach club based on our reviews, the reviews of their customers, the international press and the beach club’s marketing itself.
It offers free entry, no minimum spend requirement for seats at the bar or the restaurants (and you can also swim in the pool), and has a non-stop party vibe that is without equal.
Potato Head has gone downhill a little in our eyes this last year. It has introduced a sunset entry fee; there is now a mandatory fee for a daybed, which gives you a bottle of wine and a plate of food that you may or may not want.
And it’s a different vibe to FINNS, the emphasis there is very much on relaxing by the pool and the music is configured to Chill to the Max.

Does Mrs. Sippy Take Walk-Ins?
Yes, you can walk into Mrs. Sippy; in fact, that’s exactly what our review team did when they visited this pool club.
However, you should be aware that they have an entrance fee and a minimum spend if you want a daybed by the pool.
If there are events on at Mrs. Sippy, you may need to book in advance to be assured of entry, but otherwise, you should be fine to just turn up. It’s never really all that busy as far as we can tell.
Is FINNS Beach Club Worth It?
Yes! FINNS is an amazing experience. The beach club is the island’s premier party destination, and if you enjoy having carefree fun in the sun, you must go to FINNS.
They estimate that 1 in 4 international visitors to Bali will visit FINNS at least once during their holiday in the country. That’s an exceptional achievement, and it’s because this beach club has extremely high standards and constantly works to reinvent itself so that each experience there is new and exciting.
It’s probably the only beach club in Southeast Asia that people plan their holidays around, and we always recommend that you try FINNS and that you book a daybed in advance because it’s such a popular place that it’s often booked out days or weeks in advance.

Is There A Minimum Spend For Potato Head?
You can enter Potato Head and sit in certain areas (a long way from the sea) without committing to a minimum spend.
However, they do now have an entrance fee during the peak hours of the day, and if you’re trying to avoid a minimum spend, you probably want to get there early on to avoid the entrance fee.
Is There A Dress Code At Mrs. Sippy Bali?
They say that they have a “smart casual” dress code at Mrs. Sippy in their terms and conditions, but frankly, we saw no real evidence of that in practice.
You can wear anything that you would wear to the pool, as long as it’s legal and covers your private parts, they don’t seem to mind what it is.
Is Mrs. Sippy Worth Visiting?
We are in two minds about Mrs. Sippy. We are a beach club review site, but we have visited the pool clubs in Bali, and we felt that this pool club was not the best place we’ve been.
The entrance fee feels like a money grab. The service wasn’t great, and it is expensive. However, there’s no doubt that the place has its dedicated fans (mainly Eastern European young people) who seem to have a great time there.
Final Thoughts On The Best Pool Parties In Bali
Bali is a brilliant destination to enjoy a pool party, and there’s always at least one going on somewhere on the island on any given day (except for Nyepi, of course, there are no parties of any kind on that annual holiday).
If you only have time to enjoy one pool party, we’d recommend that you book a daybed at FINNS and enjoy the ultimate island party experience.
However, there’s more than enough additional options to enjoy a pool party every day of your holiday, too.
