Jimbaran Bay is famous for its seaside BBQs of delightfully fresh seafood but it’s not so famous for its beach clubs.
We wanted to see if See Breeze Bangsal was going to help remedy this situation and our team headed to this spot by the ocean to find out. This is what they learned on their visit.
Introduction – Getting To Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club
Getting to Jimbaran Bay is relatively easy from most popular parts of Bali and it’s very close to Kuta, Legian, and Uluwatu and not that far from Nusa Dua, Ungasan, Canggu and Seminyak.
However, because Bali traffic is challenging, it can take a lot longer to drive to Sea Breeze Bangasal than you might think. So, if you have to get to this beach club by a certain time, you might want to set off early.

Our Review Breakdown For Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club
We review every beach club in Bali using the same approach. This ensures we’re consistent for our readers and that we treat all the beach clubs fairly.
Our team is sent to a beach club to conduct individual reviews of a place. They score the beach club using the 20 criteria listed below with marks from 1 (worst) to 5 (best).
Then, they get together after their visit and vote on the final marks in each category. This helps to ensure that you get a review that is reflective of everyone’s experiences.
Finally, a team member writes up the review and it is published on our site. Once it goes live, it stays live for, at least, a year until we revisit the beach club and see if there’s anything we need to change.
Pre-Club Advertising
We like pre-club advertising because it helps to ensure that a beach club is busy and the busier a place is, the more of a vibe it has,.
But if there’s any advertising for this beach club, we haven’t seen it. There’s nothing online or even offline.
To be fair, they don’t even have a website and are relying on a fairly basic Instagram page – so, this isn’t a huge surprise.

Location
Jimbaran Bay is pretty easy to get to from the major beach towns and even from Ubud.
The beach here is a pleasant one and it’s a popular spot for people in search of a BBQ Restaurant.
It doesn’t have quite as many facilities within walking distances as Canggu or Seminyak beaches, but overall, this is a nice spot on the ocean.

Booking Process & Seating Options
With no website, there’s no means for a booking process at Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club.
This is good news if you’re staying in the Jimbaran Bay area and you just want to walk-in to the beach club.
However, it’s not so good news if you’re thinking about travelling any distance to get to this beach club – as it means you can’t guarantee a seat when you get there.
Given that Chope offers a booking service for all restaurants and it doesn’t require a website, we don’t understand why this can’t be done.
Rating: 1/5
Entry Fee
There’s no entrance fee at this beach club and that’s good because a.) we believe that beach clubs shouldn’t charge entrance fees and b.) there’s nothing in this beach club that could possibly justify an entrance fee.
So, you can head to Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club and walk in and enjoy the great views and bar and restaurant facilities without coughing up a fee just to walk in the door.
Rating: 5/5
Minimum Spend
There is no minimum spend at this beach club and, in fact, while that seems like a good thing – we find it a little frustrating as this also reflects on the fact that you can’t book a seat here.
If you are travelling any distance to a beach club, you want to be certain that after your 1-2 hour taxi journey, you’re going to be able to enjoy the beach club that you came for.
By having a minimum spend, a booking process and a small deposit, beach clubs can ensure you get a seat when you want one.

Welcome And Security
You will get a cheerful and warm welcome when you visit this beach club but Sea Breeze Bangasal Beach Club isn’t very big and they may not always have any staff at the door when you walk in.
There is also no security check of any kind at this beach club and while we appreciate it’s more of a restaurant on the beach than a beach club – we have to note, we like security checks, they keep everyone safe when they enjoy time in a club.
Rating: 3/5
Inclusions
You will be offered a towel if you need one at this beach club assuming you’re on the sun loungers on the beach.
There are no other inclusions of any kind though and certainly no options for a premier or VIP service (not that this beach club really attracts people seeking that level of service).
Rating: 3/5
Service
One thing Bali is famous for is its service and the Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club gives very much the basic Balinese service – it’s friendly and welcoming.
However, nothing about the service at this beach club really stands out, either. It’s certainly not in the same league as the bigger beach clubs and 5-star hotel beach club offerings.
Rating: 3/5
Entertainment
There is absolutely no entertainment at this beach club at all, no live music, no piped music, nothing.
This is a spot to sit on the beach and listen to the sound of the ocean waves lapping against the shore.
You won’t miss a word that your companions say, mind you, as there’s nothing to distract you from them.

Pool Quality
There’s no pool at this beach club and that’s a little bit annoying, we feel “beach club” conjures up images of more than just a basic seafood restaurant on the beach.
Yet, in this case, that’s exactly what you’re getting.
Most people associate the idea of a “beach club” with a bit of luxury and some swimming opportunities, but Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club just has a few sun loungers on the beach plus restaurant facilities.

Menu/Drinks Pricing
This beach club is actually quite expensive for Jimbaran Bay when compared to the other warungs and small restaurants around it.
No, it’s not expensive when compared to the main beach club brands but it’s not really a beach club.
So, you may want to have a look around this stretch of beach before you opt to eat in Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club as there are other, cheaper options.
Rating: 3/5
Food And Drink Quality
The food and drink here were completely acceptable but we feel you come to this beach specifically to try the seafood and it ought to be amazing.
We also noticed that not all the fish, etc. that they serve here is fresh.
We cannot understand why you’d need frozen products in this part of Bali where the catch is hauled up to the market each and every morning.
Rating: 3/5
Sunset View
One thing you shouldn’t miss in Bali is the Balinese sunset which is world famous for its beauty.
Jimbaran Bay is on the right side of the island to get the best view of the sun dipping below the horizon over the ocean.
The light show at this beach club is excellent and you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding an uninterrupted view of the sunset.
Rating: 5/5
Music And Ambiance
There is, as we’ve already mentioned, no music whatsoever in this beach club and we confess, we don’t mind that.
Sometimes, it’s nice to sit down with friends or family (or both) and enjoy a few drinks and enjoy the company of your fellow man.
Rating: 3/5
Payment Options
You can pay by cash or card at the Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club but don’t expect other options such as QRIS or e-wallet payment.
Rating: 4/5
Exit Process
This beach club is a small restaurant on the beach, when you’re ready to leave, you can just get up and walk out on to the sand or go back out the way you came in.
If the staff see you leave, they will wish you a hearty goodbye.
Rating: 5/5
Transportation
Jimbaran Bay is relatively easy to get to and you can park near the beach club in the beach car park.
Your Grab or Gojek driver, if you use ride-shares, can drop you off easily too.
However, getting back after your meal from this beach club may require a longer wait for a ride share than in some of the more popular spots on the island.
You may also be harrassed by the local taxi mafia while you wait for your ride.
Rating: 4/5
Social Media Presence
We find it puzzling that not only does Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club have no website but that the Instagram account it relies on, instead, has only a dozen photos.
To be fair, they are very much representative of what’s inside this beach club but they could do much better too.

Other/General Comments
This place isn’t what most people think of as a beach cub. It’s a BBQ restaurant on the beach.
That’s fine, there is no legal definition of “beach club” and anyone can use the term.
However, if you’re going to travel to this beach club, you might want to think long and hard about whether you really want to do so.

Our Overall Opinion Of Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club
So, Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club seems to be stretching most people’s definition of “beach club”. In fact, it’s really a seafood BBQ place with some sun loungers on a strip of beach with lots of seafood BBQ options.
We can’t blame them for trying to distinguish themselves from their competitors, but we can’t see we’d rush to come back to the Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club, either. We like seafood BBQ but we think that Jimbaran Bay has many better options than this “beach club”.

Final Thoughts On Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club
Sea Breeze Bangsal Beach Club is a little optimistic when it calls itself a “beach club”.
What it is, is simply a seafood BBQ restaurant on the beach with a few sun loungers and a bar.
That’s fine, Jimbaran Bay is full of places like this and the food is good enough.
However, if you want a beach club, you certainly wouldn’t travel to this beach club – you’d go to somewhere like FINNS instead.
