But is it also one of the best beach clubs in Bali? Well, we sent our team out to visit TT Beach Club and this is what they had to say about their experiences.
Introduction – Getting To Tropical Temptation Club
This corner of Uluwatu is not the easiest to get to and you may find it’s best to use your own transport as there can be real issues getting a Grab or Gojek home at the end of the day.
Given that it’s quite far from many of the popular tourist spots, it may also be quite a drive to get to TT Beach Club.
At the busiest times of the day and during peak season, you should allocate quite a bit of time to ensure you get there on time if you have reserved furniture for the day.

What’s Inside Tropical Temptation Beach Club?
Tropical Temptation is a fairly large beach club and it has three pool areas, a beachfront area, a bar and a restaurant for their guests to enjoy.
Our Review Breakdown For Tropical Temptation Beach Club
All our beach club reviews work in the same way. We sent our team to Tropical Temptation. They then rated the beach club out of 5 in 20 different categories.

Pre-Club Advertising
Tropical Temptation Beach Club does advertise online and offline. It’s certainly not one of the big-spending beach clubs when it comes to this kind of advertising, however.
This is a shame because it means that TT Beach Club is often emptier than it could be and you may find yourself enjoying the stunning views from the pool area by yourself.
Part of the joy of beach clubs is sharing the good time with others and TT Beach Club could definitely do more to promote what it has to offer to others.
Location
This part of South Bali is fairly inaccessible and while you can certainly drive there from Ngurah Rai International Airport or other parts of the island to feel the ocean breeze on your face, you’re going to have to deal with a fair amount of traffic to get there.
The venue also levies a 10,000 IDR fee to get to the door of the club and frankly, no amount of excellent food, or top-notch service, makes up for this kind of petty money grabbing.
In fact, the one thing that we noticed early about Tropical Temptation Beach Club was how often the venue seems to reach for your wallet when other beach clubs would be providing the service for free to ensure an incredible experience.

Booking Process & Seating Options
The online booking process is relatively painless Tropical Temptation Beach Club, like most beach clubs, offers a wide array of seating.
You can find the seatings that you want using the website’s map feature and then select it, the site then reveals the minimum spend associated with that seat and you can decide whether you want to book or not.
You then make a payment online through the booking engine equivalent to the minimum spend as with other beach clubs, if you don’t show up on the day, you will lose this deposit. It’s non-transferable and they don’t give refunds.
Entry Fee
You can enter Tropical Temptation Beach Club for free and we approve of this as it means you can find out if the vibe is your cup of tea before you spend any money.
In fact, we think all the best beach clubs offer this kind of policy. Nobody should have to commit to a minimum spend until they’ve seen what they’re getting for their money.
However, while there’s no entrance fee, there is a towel fee of 50,000 IDR per person and you are not allowed to bring your own towel into the venue.
Yes, this fee even applies if you have agreed to a minimum spend.
Minimum Spend
If you want the best spots around the pool or in the beach area you will need to commit to a minimum spend.
TT Beach Club offers occasional promotions in these areas for walk-in guests, where you may find you get a discount, or you may find that they have sold out of the seating that you want.
The minimum spend level starts at 1,500,000 IDR for a 3-person hammock and can rise to 6,000,000 IDR for an 8-person cabana or VIP deck.
This isn’t too bad when you compare it to other beach club venues around the island and given the prices of things at TT Beach Club, we doubt you’re going to have any problems spending this amount.
Welcome And Security
TT Beach Club does have door staff to search your bags and we’re in favour of this practice as it helps to ensure that your time in the beach club is safe.
We were also welcome at the door with a reasonably friendly greeting and guided to our seats with a minimum of fuss.
Inclusions
TT Beach Club offers exactly nothing to those who agree to a minimum spend, they don’t even include a towel (and most beach clubs in Bali ensure that you get a towel) and you can bring your own towel, either.
So, if you want to swim in the Bali sun, and you probably do, you’re going to have to rent a towel.
We can’t fathom this kind of nickel-and-dime approach to guests at all. Tropical Temptation Beach Club levies a fairly hefty minimum spend to use a sand day bed or similar piece of furniture, there’s no excuse for not providing a towel.
There’s also no “premium” or “VIP” tier of treatment, something that many other beach clubs are missing out on too – this is an easy way to improve the customer experience and revenue without much effort.
We don’t think you can be remotely considered to be a “best beach club” without this kind of attention to detail.
Service
We thought that the service at TT Beach Club was very acceptable. It wasn’t the best, it wasn’t the worst and it was friendly and professional throughout our time at the club.
Entertainment
TT Beach Club does invest in entertainment and while the music is piped into the venue until 3 p.m. after that, the “party” starts and there are live performances and live DJs.
We should also note that Tropical Temptation regularly hosts events that are open to beach club visitors, which is a nice touch.
They’re not the best beach club on the island for entertainment but TT Beach Club is definitely putting in some effort here.
Pool Quality
The pools are an attractive part of TT Beach Club and the three pools include a glass pool with a bubble area which is very pleasant to enjoy.
The water is clean and while the towel rental policy is irksome there’s no doubt that swimming at this beach club is good fun.
Menu/Drinks Pricing
We found that Tropical Temptation Beach Club had some of the most expensive food and drinks in Bali with even a coconut costing 95,000 IDR!
The drool-worthy food is very attractive but when we want an almond sponge cake, we don’t want to take out a second mortgage on it.
Food And Drink Quality
The food is very good at Tropical Temptation Beach Club and things like the black angus tenderloin skewer, with roasted sesame mayonnaise and whipped garlic butter are tasty and very enjoyable.
The chocolate gelato didn’t send us into “limitless happiness” as one Tropical Temptation Beach Club review we read promised, but it was refreshing and delicious.
It wasn’t quite the best food that we’ve had in a beach club but it was excellent food. The drinks are strong enough and well made too.
Sunset View
Many people come to Bali for the sunsets and sadly, TT Beach Club doesn’t offer the best views of the sunset.
You can go down into the beach area to get a better view but the sun sets on the wrong side of the island for this to be one of the top destinations for sunset lovers.
Music And Ambiance
The music at TT Beach Club was perfectly acceptable but it didn’t stand out much either and we do wish beach clubs in Bali would make more effort to distinguish themselves with their music policies.
“Because everyone else is doing it” is not a strategy that helps to differentiate your venue.
Payment Options
You can pay easily enough with a card or cash in TT Beach Club but we didn’t see any signs for QRIS, e-wallet or crypto payments which is a shame.
Exit Process
This really runs into the next point, but getting out of TT Beach Club, particularly without your own transport, is a real pain.
You can’t even get to the pickup spot without a long walk or paying for an expensive local motorcycle taxi journey.
Transportation
One of the worst aspects of this beach club is the transport side of things. When you arrive at the club if you want to get to the door, you have to pay 10,000 IDR in cash to do so.
Then, when you’re leaving, you’re in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by the taxi mafia. Even if you want to walk to use Grab or Gojek, you’re going to have to climb a fairly steep hill.
To get there, you can pay a moto driver to take you but they will only take cash, so if you’re relying on a card, you’re going to be out of luck given that TT Beach Club is so poorly accessible, you’d really think that they could do better than this.
Given that they bill themselves as one of “the best beach clubs” on the island, there’s no excuse for this kind of experience.
Social Media Presence
It’s not the best social media we’ve ever seen, but credit where it’s due TT Beach Club has an active social media presence (especially Instagram) which is well-shot and curated.
It not only represents the hospitality experiences inside reasonably accurately but it serves as a great advert for the beach club.
Other/General Comments
This spot on Melasti Beach is very pleasant and there’s a lot to like about TT Beach Club but we can’t get over the feeling that we’re a walking ATM for the club and not a “guest” while we’re there.
A little more generosity from this club could go a long way to improving our feelings about it.
Our Overall Opinion Of Tropical Temptation Beach Club
There’s so much potential for TT Beach Club but our visit just didn’t see the club living up to that potential.
The pools are great and so is the food. But the prices are outrageous and the lack of basic inclusions, combined with the difficulty of getting there (and away again) really made it hard to relax.

Adults can swim at this beach club but TT Beach Club has a strict ban on children in the pools and the area around them.
Tropical Temptation Beach Club has a strict policy regarding pool attire too and you must wear regular swimwear in the pool, you may not wear diving suits or swim in resort wear or other clothes.
What Can You Do At Tropical Temptation Beach Club?
You can swim, take a walk on the beach, eat and drink and have fun dancing or partying in the later part of the day. You can also chill by the pool and enjoy the sun.
Is Tropical Temptation Beach Club A Family-Friendly Venue?
Not really, Tropical Temptation Beach Club is very clear during the booking process that it’s an adult-oriented venue and only those over the age of 10 may enter the club at all.
Children are only permitted in the lounge area that TT Beach Club offers and nowhere else in the venue. We’d say that if you’re looking for a family-friendly day out there are plenty of other beach clubs in Bali where you’re going to have a better time.

Tropical Temptation Beach Club or TT Beach Club is a decent place but an expensive one and while we enjoyed our day there, we wouldn’t hurry back and not just because the drive is a long one.
