Our Top 10 Budget Beach Clubs In Bali
Warung Pantai

OK, it’s not really a beach club, it’s more of an old-school beach bar but that’s OK because this kind of place is slowly disappearing from Bali’s beaches and everyone should visit once before they’re gone.
You’ll find that there are comfortable seats here with no entrance fees or minimum spend requirements.
In addition, you’ll be able to order cheap local food and relatively cheap (for Bali) drinks with the assurance that everything you drink here is the genuine article.
The sunset view here is excellent too as it’s on the right part of the coast for the best lightshow above the Indian Ocean.

Yeh Gangga Beach Club by Uname

Tabanan isn’t on the normal tourist paths and you will have to travel to get to Yeh Gangga Beach Club but if you do, you’re going to be pleasantly surprised by what you find there.
There’s no minimum spend or entrance fee to worry about, though we’d recommend getting there early as there aren’t a huge number of sun loungers either.
The pool area is very pleasant and you can enjoy a decent menu of cold drinks and local dishes which is reasonably priced too.
Don’t expect a party vibe, this place is too remote but if you want to do some chilling by the ocean, Yeh Gangga is a great place for it.

Le Pirate Beach Club

This beach club on the tiny island of Nusa Ceningan, which is offshore from Bali, is an awesome place for a day out.
You will need to stay in the Nusa Islands to visit Le Pirate as it’s not accessible on one of the many day tours from the mainland.
However, there’s no minimum spend or entrance fee and the adults-only pool area is completely free to use to all comers (though you must rent a towel for 15,000 IDR ($1 USD or $1.50 AUD).
It’s also surprisingly cheap to eat at this club, given that most food items must be brought in by boat from Bali.

Bondalem Beach Club

This out of the way beach club is in little known Tejakula and it’s the ideal place for a long, slow day by the sea.
The local area is excellent for snorkeling and if you’re into exploring the underwater world around the island, you may well love Bondalem Beach Club.
It’s a very small place, so we recommend that you get there early if you want to be guaranteed the use of a day bed.
The food and drinks are actually a little pricey for the local area, but compared to most other beach clubs in Bali, they’re a bargain.

Magus Warung

Ungasan is our bug bear of the beach club scene. For some reason the vast majority of the beach clubs in this part of the island seem to think that guests are their own private ATMs and they charge well over the odds even compared to big name beach clubs in other parts of the island.
Magus Warung is the exception in this corner of Bali. It might not have the same facilities as the biggest name clubs, but it’s a lovely place with a great view of the ocean.
It’s also reasonably priced for food and drinks, and the service is an excellent example of Balinese hospitality.
If we’re in Ungasan, you can be guaranteed to find us at Magus Warung at some point during the day.

Old Man’s

OK, Old Man’s isn’t a proper beach club and it has, probably, the worst ocean view of any of the places on our list due to the way that it’s laid out (though you can easily walk from Old Man’s to the beach in a minute).
But if you’re looking for a cheap day out in Canggu, there’s no doubt that their beer deals combined with their happy hour pricing, makes them very affordable, indeed.
Later on in the evening, it turns into a popular night life spot with loud music and more cheap drinks.
We were surprised that not only is the food affordable here, but it’s actually pretty good too.

Suku Beach Club

This beach club on Nusa Ceningan is definitely not the easiest place on the island to get to as it’s a long drive from the Yellow Bridge over some fairly dodgy terrain.
However, if you do get there, you will find it’s free to get in and there’s a very reasonable minimum spend of 250,000 IDR ($15 USD or $25 AUD) for three hours.
Given that minimum spend will pay for dinner and a drink or two, that’s going to be perfect value for money.
We’d also note that of the clubs on this list, Suku has the best pool area of any of them – it’s a fabulous place to spend a day chilling out.

Kayu Kayu Beach Front

If you’re in this part of Northern Bali, there aren’t a whole lot of beach clubs to choose from and it’s fair to say that Kayu Kayu is more of a restaurant than a beach club.
However, let’s be fair about this, it’s one of the cheapest beachfront destinations on the island and it’s a very comfortable place to spend a day.
We love their pool area and enjoyed swimming here as it’s never very busy and that means no competing for space in the water.
There’s no entrance fee and no minimum spend requirement which helped to seal the deal with us at Kayu Kayu.

Lyma Beach Bali

This is another old school beach bar more than a beach club, but we’re just fine with that and there’s do doubt that if you want a glimpse into Bali’s recent past – you will love it here.
The beanbag seats are super comfortable and the sunset view rivals that at any other beach club on the island.
We love that it’s just far out enough that it’s never really busy and you can always get someone’s attention for another drink.
It’s a good venue for a first date too if you want a beach club that allows for conversation rather than drowning you out with thumping music.

Favela Chic Beach Club

This is also more of a beach bar and it’s probably the cheapest destination on our list. However, it’s cheap for a reason and the food here isn’t the best and the portions are measly.
That doesn’t stop people from rocking up at sunset and chilling out with a few cheap beers though, it’s in Canggu, so you can enjoy a great view over the ocean while you drink.

How To Stretch Your Budget To Have A Great Time At FINNS Beach Club
FINNS Beach Club (and FINNS VIP Beach Club)
FINNS is the world’s best beach club according to its marketing and its certainly, in our experience, the best beach club in Bali.
It’s also, surprisingly, not among the most expensive beach clubs on the island but it is a little more expensive than the beach clubs above… but it’s still possible to have a budget-friendly time at FINNS if you do a little planning.
Discount That Minimum Spend
Firstly, if you want to use a day bed – you’re going to have to agree to a minimum spend, that is you will need to spend a certain amount of money on food, drinks and/or tobacco products.
The good news is that if you follow FINNS on social media and book your daybed in advance, you can often reduce that amount substantially. Their Black Friday sale, for example, lets you book a daybed at half the usual rate for any day of the year.
Free Entry And Free Seating
FINNS doesn’t charge an entry fee of any kind to its guests, so you don’t need to worry about shelling out just for the privilege of walking through the door (unlike at many of the other big name beach clubs in Bali).
Secondly, you don’t have to agree to a minimum spend at all at FINNS. The beach club offers completely free seating at the bars and restaurants in the complex.
And yes, you can still use the pool if you use these seats (though you do need to rent a towel and a locker to store your things if you go this way – if you want to swim, we’d recommend seeking a discount on the minimum spend, instead of using the free-entry route).
Free Drinks
FINNS gives away a lot of free shots each month and absolutely everyone at FINNS can benefit from these shots.
A little bird tells us that the most common time of day for these shots to be handed out is a couple of hours before sunset.
You will need to spend some money in FINNS, but you don’t have to pay for every drink that you have, either if you plan your visit accordingly.
Happy Hour
FINNS also has an awesome happy hour from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day and unlike many other beach club, this buy one get one free deal has very few restrictions.
If you want to buy a bottle of champagne, for example, you’ll get a second bottle free. That’s an amazing deal even if most people on a budget are more likely to opt for a buy-one-get-one-free on a cocktail or two.
Meal And Drink Deals

The team at FINNS are also all about drinks and dining promotions and you can often get some incredible deals for food and drink packages.
Watch out for their “Bottomless Lunch” which regularly appears in their St. Tropez restaurant – you can get three hours of unlimited food and drink for less than 1 million IDR!
There are also regular drink promos that enable you to drink for less, even if you can’t get to FINNS during happy hour.
So, there you have it – you can enjoy the world’s best beach club on a tight budget if you just time things right and make the best use of promos, etc.
All the entertainment in FINNS is free of charge and the spectacular sunset view is also open to all guests no matter how much or little they spend.

FAQs
Are Beach Clubs Worth It In Bali?
Yes! We think beach clubs in Bali are very much worth visiting. They do get some negative press occasionally but the truth is that Bali’s beach club scene employs tens of thousands of Balinese and Indonesian workers.
And they provide an elevated and sophisticated service to the island’s many visitors. FINNS alone sees nearly 15% of the arrivals in Bali each year walk through its doors.
We love beach clubs, which is why we put together this blog, and we think that Bali’s offer a unique and enjoyable experience to the people who frequent them and there’s definitely a beach club for everyone in Bali.
What Is The Number One Beach Club In Bali?
FINNS is the most popular beach club in Bali and is generally considered to be the best too. It’s one of the reasons that we always recommend that people book a daybed in advance if they’re going to visit this beach club.
What Is The Minimum Spend At FINNS Beach Club?
You are not required to enter into an agreement for a minimum spend at FINNS Beach Club. The seating at the bar and restaurants does not require a minimum spend and there’s no entrance fee at FINNS, no matter where you sit.
However, if you want to grab a daybed or a spot on their lawn, you will need to agree to a minimum spend and this varies depending on the time of year when you visit and which seat you want.
The minimum spend can be as little as 500,000 IDR per guest and if you book your seat online on their official website, you can be sure that you’ve got the best deal on your seat.
Is FINNS Beach Club Worth It?
Yes! We love FINNS Beach Club and we always say that if you can only visit one beach club on the island, it should be FINNS.
The food and drinks are excellent. The view is amazing. The sunset is the best on the island. The service is world-class but without a doubt, it’s the entertainment that makes FINNS stand out head and shoulders above the competition.
Where Does Everyone Party In Bali?
The most popular party locations in Bali are the towns of Canggu, Seminyak and Kuta. Kuta tends to appeal to those seeking cheap beers who aren’t too concerned about their surroundings.
Seminyak is very upmarket and prices tend to be in keeping with that upmarket image.
Canggu, on the other hand, has the best nightlife in Bali right now with sensible prices and a wide-range of options to appeal to every audience.
Can You Just Walk Into FINNS Beach Club?
Yes, anyone can just walk into FINNS Beach Club assuming a few things:
- You’re in compliance with the minimalistic dress code at the club – that means no alcohol and sports brands, and no facial tattoos.
- You pass the basic security check at the door. This is mandatory and is applied to all guests.
- They have room to let you in. FINNS is the most popular destination in Bali at the moment, if there’s no room, you may have to queue until someone leaves. It’s why we always encourage people to book in advance.
Is A Passport Required For FINNS Beach Club?
No, you don’t need a passport to enter any of the beach clubs in Bali and you’re unlikely to be asked for ID if you’re just part of a group.
However, if you’re running a tab, the person who puts down their credit card may be asked to show some form of identification as part of that process. It helps to stop credit card fraud and is a standard practice on the island.
Final Thoughts On Budget Beach Clubs In Bali
As you can see, you don’t need to spend a fortune to have a great time at Bali’s beach clubs and you can even visit the best club on the island without spending too much cash.
The beach club experience is part of what makes a holiday on this paradise island great and you owe it to yourself to enjoy some time in the sun with a cold drink in hand, don’t you?
